WHO WE'RE SUPPORTING
Mujeres Artisanas 'Manos De Fe'
A local organization based in Lake Atitlan that supports indigenous Mayan women through artisanal crafts and skills-based training. From textiles to weaving, the cooperative helps women build community and entrepreneurial skills, achieve financial independence, and empower them through employment.
During this trip, we will support their local initiatives and participate in an artisan workshop to learn more about the spirit of traditional Mayan clothing. Additionally, we will provide a donation to locally purchase items such as textiles, reusable materials, and sewing machines to support their local programs. Raquel will also provide copies of her book 'Self-Care for Latinas' to encourage the conversation about self-care and wellness.
