An African Roots Travel  Tour Guide will meet you at the entrance to greet you with a proper welcome. Staff will be present to assist the group with luggage transfer to the transport vehicle.

Assin Manso's Slave Bath

Assin Manso is a town in the Central Region of Ghana. The town is well known for its role as a slave market during the slave trade being the final link in the slavery route from northern Ghana. It was known to have been the largest slave market for the merchant supplying slaves on the forts and castles on the coast.

Elmina is a fishing port on the south coast of Ghana, in West Africa. It’s known for its beaches and for its role in the former transatlantic slave trade. Elmina Castle, built by the Portuguese in 1482, was a base for trading slaves, gold, and ivory.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel Insurance is mandatory for all clients to protect from emergencies such as tour cancellation, missed flights, health emergencies, Unexpected Covid Quarantine Cost, and other mishaps.

NOTE: Please present a copy of your travel insurance to African Roots Travel. Failure to do so acknowledges that you accept these responsibilities and the additional cost they bare outside of normal tour fees.

There are prerequisites that must be completed for an entry to Ghana as a traveler. These requirements do incur additional costs which is not included in tour package.

TOUR DEPOSIT

Tour deposits paid to African Roots Travel are nonrefundable.

CANCELLATION

 African Roots Travel is unable to offer tour refunds. Tour fees are nonrefundable. We strongly urge all clients to purchase travel insurance to cover emergencies, cancellations, missed flights, and medical emergencies.

LATE  PAYMENT

Payments received (3) days after payment deadline will be assessed a fee of $25.00 fee. Payments submitted (7) days after the payment deadline will be assessed a $50.00 fee.

Payments submitted after (14) days will receive a $100.00 late fee.

 
 

IMMUNIZATIONS

Ghana Immunization Guidelines

All travelers to Ghana must have up-to-date immunizations. Please review the link below for information on what immunizations shots are required prior to departure. Yellow Fever is the only required immunization for entry into the country, all others are recommended.

 Please understand failure to receive a Yellow Fever Shot can lead to you being denied boarding the plane.
