- This is a LAND ONLY PACKAGE. This does not include round trip airfare to Ghana, and any fees associated with airfare, arrival or departure taxes .
- Passport and any applicable visa fees; a visa is REQUIRED for US citizens traveling to Ghana

Booking Information
Reservation must be made in your FULL NAME as it appears on the passport identification page. Name changes will result in fees from the Travel Curio and it's various suppliers.
Travel Documents
A passport valid 6 months beyond the travel dates is required for entry into Ghana. For this tour, your passport should not expire March 28, 2026. Currently, US citizens require a visa to entering Ghana. The Travel Curio does not assume any liability for you obtaining the required travel documents.
The Travel Curio will collect passport identification pages and flight details in July 2025. This will assist with hotel check-in and airport transfers.
Travel Insurance
Protect your trip - don’t leave home without it! This is an investment in your well-being, wanderlust or wallet. Therefore, The Travel Curio requires travelers to obtain travel insurance for all international destinations or officially sign a waiver. Complete the Travel Insurance Form. Click here for the form. If you accept, indicate if you would like to include the cost of the land package or the package plus airfare.
Health and Vaccines
There are health requirements to enter Ghana. Check the CDC Travelers Health Page for required and recommended vaccines. It is recommended that you consult with your physician to determine if there are additional considerations prior to travel.
Arriving in Ghana
When scheduling your flights, plan to arrive the Kotoka International Airport (ACC). The hotel check-in date is September 20, 2025. Most flights will depart from the US on September 19 to arrive in Accra on September 20, 2025. Again, hotel check-in occurs September 20, 2025.
Pricing
All prices are based on the rates of exchange in effect at the time of price quotation. In the event that the US dollar devalues, The Travel Curio, LLC reserves the right to increase prices accordingly. Your final invoice will reflect increases resulting from currency devaluation.
Deposits and Payments
By selecting a reservation, you are confirming an understanding of the terms and conditions. A $300 non-refundable and nontransferable deposit is due at the time of booking. Payments are expected to be made on a monthly basis to keep your reservation current. Upon confirmation of the first payment, your invoice will clearly note a payment schedule. It is recommended you place this plan on your calendar. If selecting double occupancy, please provide the name of your roommate in the reservation. You are also encouraged to remain in communication to ensure they are making timely payments.
Missed payments of 60 days are subject to cancellation. There is a fee to reinstate a vacation plus any vendor fees if applicable. The Travel Curio will notify you if reinstatement is available. The fee plus late payments are due within 24 hours of confirming the trip's availability.

Cancellation policy:
Please note the deposit is paid to the supplier and it's non-refundable and non-transferable. Planning and research fees are paid to The Travel Curio and are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event of cancellation of travel arrangements due to any reasons, The Travel Curio must be notified of the same in writing by email at info@thetravelcurio.com in a timely manner to notify all suppliers involved with the planning of this trip. In most instances, cancellation charges will be effective from the time/date we receive your notice in writing. In some instances, a refund beyond the deposit may not be available due to The Travel Curio's contractual obligations. If a refund is available from the supplier(s), a cancellation fee of $300 will apply and be deducted from the refund.
You shall be completely responsible for all charges, duties, taxes and assessments arising out of your travel booking through The Travel Curio. By submitting and electronically signing a credit card authorization form, you agree to all The Travel Curio to use your payment method to purchase travel products from our suppliers on your behalf. EXCEPT in CASES OF FRAUD, you agree not to file any dispute with your bank or credit card company to avoid or violate any booking terms and conditions of The Travel Curio or it’s suppliers including cancellations or changes of itinerary or arrangements for reasons beyond The Travel Curio’s control. If you attempt to chargeback, reverse, or recollect previously authorized payment towards your trip payment, we, The Travel Curio, LLC reserve the right to collect all additional cost, fees, and expenses associated with such chargeback or recollection, including without limitation, attorney fees.
Given the cancellation policy, TRAVEL PROTECTION INSURANCE is strongly recommended. Each traveler, with the exception of family members traveling together, will be sent an individual insurance quote. Cancel for any reasons plans (CFAR) are only available within 12 days of booking. If declining, a waiver must be signed before applying final payment. Travel documents will not be released until the form is received.

The Travel Curio highly recommends gratuities for the local tour guide and driver. Fielding questions is challenging work and scrambling for local currency after a tour isn't fun.
We've estimated at least $20 per person per day can be included in the cost of your package or you can pay up on arrival before checking in to the hotel to your Travel Curio Staff Member. This is the gratuities for your driver/tour guide only. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE gratuities for additional guides, hotel staff, breakfast, lunch & dinner gratuities, airport porters and bellman.
If you are bringing U.S. Cash, please bring larger bills, preferably $100, $50 and $20. Many banks and FOREX locations will not exchange bills that are not the most current version of currency, bills that are not torn, extremely worn or have writing, Please check your bill before departing the U.S. We highly recommend visiting your financial institution prior to departure and request NEW bills.
