This Tour's Itinerary
Day 1
Board your spacious, video and restroom equipped Motorcoach and set off for Northern Michigan. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way before checking into your en route hotel tonight.
Day 2
After enjoying a Continental Breakfast, you'll continue towards Northern Michigan. Later, you'll arrive at your destination. This evening, you will enjoy Dinner and check into your hotel for a four night stay.
Day 3
After today's Continental Breakfast, head for Sault Sainte Marie, MI and take an exciting CRUISE through the SOO LOCKS. Next, enjoy lunch on your own and spend some free time in SAULT SAINTE MARIE. Watch ships enter and depart the Locks from the observation area or browse the unique local shops and boutiques. Later, enjoy Dinner and gaming at a NORTHERN MICHIGAN CASINO before returning to your hotel.
Day 4
After enjoying a Continental Breakfast, your adventure begins with a ferryboat ride to peaceful Mackinac Island where the only mode of transportation is by Horse and Carriage. Take a leisurely CARRIAGE RIDE TOUR of the island and see splendid sites like the Arch Rock and Lilac Lane. Enjoy some free time to explore this quaint island. Later, cross the Straits of Mackinac again and enjoy a lovely Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 5
After enjoying a Continental Breakfast, you'll take a GUIDED TOUR OF QUAINT MACKINAW CITY. Next, see the OLD MACKINAC POINT LIGHTHOUSE, dating back to 1892. After some free time at Mackinaw Crossings, visit COLONIAL MICHILIMACKINAC – A 1700's era Village. Later, enjoy Dinner with your friends.
Day 6
Enjoy a Continental Breakfast before leaving for the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, MI. This evening, relax at your en route hotel.
Day 7
Today you'll enjoy a Continental Breakfast and depart for home... a perfect time to chat with your friends about all the fun things you've done, the great sights you've seen and where your next group trip will take you!

Soo Locks Boat Tour

Experience the great Soo Locks for yourself aboard a Soo Locks boat excursion which includes an exciting narration, lets you ride with the freighters, cruise the Canadian waters, and enjoy the historic city of Sault Ste. Marie. 

 


Take time to admire the ships coming and going from the Locks Observation Area. The waterway traffic system will amaze you.

 
 
Sault Sainte Marie

Set sail to Sault Ste. Marie during our  Mackinac Island bus trip discover the wonders of Sault Ste. Marie, the birthplace of Michigan. The beautiful nature that surrounds the city changes with the season and provides each visitor with a unique experience that they won’t forget. Sault Ste. Marie’s importance was recognized by the Native Americans as a significant fishing and meeting place long before Europeans settled on the land and established the only link between Lake Superior and the Great Lake, the Soo Locks.

Mackinac Island and Carriage Tour

Colonial Michilimackinac

Colonial Michilimackinac is a reconstructed 18th-century fort and trading village based on ongoing archeological research and historic maps. From cannon and musket demonstrations to 18th-century cooking and crafts, learn about the lives of individuals who lived in this fort and trading village during your two-hour guided tour. 

 

Today life at Colonial Michilimackinac continues as it did in the 1700s. Give colonial women a hand in the kitchen or garden, or join Native Americans as they demonstrate their daily ways of life. The historical reenactment at Colonial Michilimackinac is like no other, it will give you a better understanding of the past and the impact it has had on the present.

 

Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park

Visit one of the nation’s most significant sculpture and botanic experiences, the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park as part of this group motorcoach vacation package. Located at 1000 East Beltline N.E. in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the Frederik Meijer & Sculpture Garden was opened in April of 1995 after years of planning and fundraising by the West Michigan Horticultural Society. Over the years, the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park has evolved into an international destination bringing joy to the lives of nearly 600,000 guests annually.
