Alaska is magical, and we want everyone to know why! Salmon Berry Travel & Tours was founded on our passion for all Alaska offers and the desire to show others how much fun it can be in any season! We didn’t want to be just another tour company. Our vision was to be authentic, welcoming visitors to our state with genuine hospitality.

Alaska Cruises are top of mind for many people when they think of traveling to Alaska. However, this small group guided land tour provides a customizable experience you’ll be talking about for the rest of your life. We are in the business of making memories! There are so many Alaska cruise alternatives that you won’t want to miss. While views of the terrain from a distance on a ship make lovely pictures, it can’t compare to an up-close and personal experience. You can’t truly experience Alaska without seeing our native plants and wildlife or meeting our local residents.

What You’ll See

It would not be easy to list everything you can see on your Alaska vacation; however, we can give you a few examples of what your group of up to 12 guests can experience:

  • Kenai Fjords National Park Glacier & Wildlife Cruise
  • Experience Denali National Park your way! We will customize your free day in Denali to best meet your travel style!
  • The 200-acre natural habitat Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center
  • Iconic Alaska Railroad in GoldStar dome car seating

And much more! There is so much to see near your hotels in Anchorage, Kenai Fjords National Park, Talkeetna and Denali National Park with many options for shopping and dining.

Where You’ll Stay

We have picked some of our favorite accommodations for our multi-day tours to enhance your trip. A couple of our customer favorites are:

  • Copper Whale Inn – This historic Anchorage hotel was built in 1939, only 24 years after Alaska was founded. It was the first architecturally designed home in the area. The Copper Whale Inn offers 15 rooms for your rest.
  • Harbor 360 Hotel – Located directly on the Seward Small Boat Harbor, this locally-owned waterfront hotel in Seward, each room has two queen beds.
  • Talkeetna Cabins– Located in downtown Talkeetna, these locally-owned cabins in Talkeetna have wonderful access to restaurants, shops and the river for views of the Alaska Range!
  • Denali Bluffs/Denali Grande Located on Sugarloaf Mountain at the entrance to Denali National Park

Why Choose Salmon Berry Travel & Tours

Our guides do a great job of sharing not only the history of Alaska, but point out areas of interest along the way as well as share personal stories of life in Alaska. We want you to understand the place and the people that make Alaska such a great place to travel (and live!) We can answer any questions you may have about your travels and provide you with help to fill your free time if desired! Please take a look at our About Us page to learn a little more about who we are and what we are all about. We are all local Alaskan guides – we not only give great tours of Alaska but also own our own small fleet of touring vehicles. We take pride in sharing Alaska with visitors in a thoughtful and unique way – our goal is that each guest will get to #FindYourAlaska! Not only do we want to feature our beautiful state, but we want to do it with your safety and the care of the natural habitat in mind.

Safety

You can rest easy knowing that we are fully insured. Safety is important to us for our employees and guests, so we ensure that our drivers are trained and licensed for commercial travel. We want you to enjoy your trip without concern. We also stay current on and observe all recommended safety protocols.

Sustainability

Our trip throughout Alaska are designed to keep Alaska as clean and beautiful as we found it so that generations can enjoy it. We have adopted several eco-friendly initiatives and partnered with the Tour Green Program from the Renewable Energy Alaska Project, the Beluga Whale Alliance and are Adventure Green Certified by the Alaska Travel Industry Association. We live, work and play here, and it’s important to all of us to be responsible stewards of this land and preserve our natural resources.
