Vacation Protection Plan [VPP] with Pre-Departure Waiver
Pre-Departure Waiver and the following non-insurance services are provided by Vacation Express and are not insurance benefits.
You can cancel your vacation for any reason and receive a refund in the form of a future travel certificate. VPP must be added to your booking by final payment due date. Once purchased, your plan cost is non-refundable.
Cancellations:
You can cancel for any reason a minimum of 2 hours prior to original scheduled departure time as indicated in your travel documents or no later than 9AM local time of the hotel the day of arrival for hotel-only bookings. When you purchase the VPP, all applicable cancellation charges [does not include change fees or reduced deposit plan fees] as per your Terms and Conditions contract will be refunded in the form of Vacation Express future travel certificates, known as a VPP Voucher, less the VPP plan cost as follows:
Vacation Express exclusive non-stop flight packages and hotel only packages will receive a VPP voucher for the cost of the package, less the VPP plan cost. Scheduled-air packages will receive a VPP voucher for the cost of the hotel portion less the VPP plan cost along with the airline ticket numbers and be advised of the ticket cost. If you used the reduced deposit plan [RDP] for your booking you must have paid for your airline ticket, insurance and the cost of RDP in full in order to receive the airline ticket for future use. Travelers can use the cost of the airline ticket, less the airline change fee [up to $250 per ticket] to purchase a new ticket to:

For travelers seeking higher limits, consider upgrading the VPP or VPP+ with a Supplemental Upgrade. Each of these plans provides the same benefits with the upgrade of coverage limits; $2,000 Trip Delay and $50,000 Emergency Medical Expense/Emergency Evacuation and Repatriation of Remains. This supplement is available for an additional $20 per person and can only be purchased in conjunction with one of the plans above.
VPI is offered in most cases when VPP or VPP+ are not offered as an option. This may include certain hotels, certain room categories, non-refundable hotel rates as well as other scenarios. If you cancel or interrupt your vacation due to an unforeseen, covered reason listed in your policy, benefits may be reimbursed up to 100% of the cost of your trip for unused, prepaid non-refundable travel arrangements. If you used the reduced deposit plan [RDP] for your booking you must have paid for your airline ticket, insurance and the cost of RDP in full in order to receive your refund. VPI must be added to your booking within 7 days of deposit date or before final payment due date, whichever occurs first.
