Itinerary Overview
 
Day 1 - October 9, 2026 - Welcome to Tokyo!
 
 
Arrive in Tokyo, Japan’s dynamic capital city. You’ll be greeted with a private transfer from the airport to your hotel. Settle in, rest after your flight, or start exploring the city at your own pace. Enjoy your first taste of Tokyo with nearby shops, ramen spots, or quiet walks in local neighborhoods.
 
  • Arrive in Tokyo (Haneda) * Group flights will be arranged from Atlanta (ATL).  If you are securing your own air, you must depart on October 8, 2026 to arrive in Tokyo on time to meet the group.  Exact times and flight schedule will be provided later.
  • Private airport transfer to hotel - Upon arrival you will travel to the hotel via private group transfer.  You must arrive with the group or earlier to receive this transfer

Airfare Information:
Airfare is not included in this package and must be purchased separately.
Tabi Legacy will offer a group airfare option departing from Atlanta, GA (ATL). Ground transportation to the hotel in Tokyo will be coordinated based on this group’s arrival time.  To take advantage of the included transfer, you must arrive in Tokyo at or before the group’s arrival time. Other arrival times will be reviewed and handled individually.

Passport Requirements:
A valid passport is required for travel. Your passport must remain valid for at least 6 months beyond the trip’s departure date.  We highly recommend checking your passport's expiration date and researching visa requirements well in advance.

Cancellation policy:

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable (60 days before the trip). For the balance amount, the below cancellation fee will be applicable.

Hakone Private Tour - Ropeway 

Hakone is a beloved destination known for its stunning scenery, 20 different types of hot springs, and breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji.

On this tour, your guide will meet you at your hotel before you journey out of Tokyo via the iconic Shinkansen (bullet train). From there, you'll experience the scenic Hakone mountain train winding through lush valleys, ride the ropeway with panoramic views—including Mt. Fuji on clear days—and enjoy a peaceful cruise on Lake Ashi.

One of the tour’s highlights is Owakudani, an active volcanic valley where you can witness steaming vents and other geothermal activity.

Nara gets very crowded during the afternoon and it could be hard to take great photos. Therefore, in our tour we go to the main sites of Nara (Kofuku-ji Temple, Todaiji Temple, Nara Park, and Kasuga Grand Shrine) before the crowd comes.

Also, this tour ends before noon so you will have the noon time to explore other parts of Nara or make a day trip to Osaka/Kyoto as well. A great tour for people that want to maximize their experience in Japan!
