Get to Know Carnival Valor

Your high seas hero Carnival Valor is here to rescue you from ordinary vacations and whisk you away to leisure, fun... and amazing destinations.

On your way you'll find onboard food spots designed to regale your palate, like BlueIguana Cantina and Guy's Burger Joint... plus the downright indulgent Scarlett's Steakhouse. Let yourself be swept away to RedFrog Pub® or Alchemy Bar® for a drink, or get a little carried away rooting for your favorites at SkyBox Sports Bar.

Kids can get caught up in all the excitement of being kids, hanging with others their age at Carnival Valor's three supervised youth spaces. Or they can join the wacky, wonderful Dr. Seuss bunch for character story-time (and more!) at Seuss at Sea. And pretty much anyone, young or slightly-less-young, will be thrilled by our 214-foot long, four-deck-tall Twister waterslide.

On the entertainment front, Playlist Productions takes tunes you know and presents them in song-and-dance, up-on-stage spectacular shows. At Dive-In Movies, you’ll never have to choose between making a splash and watching a favorite movie under the stars, up on the big screen. And our Punchliner Comedy Club will have you laughing your flippy-floppies off..

If you thought for a second your vacation might be boring, now you know not to fear — Carnival Valor has what it takes to save any vacation!

Itinerary:

Day 1: New Orleans

Departs at 3:30 PM

A Carnival cruise from New Orleans is your chance to discover the unmistakable charm and flavor of the Crescent City. Before or after you cruise, take a little time to explore the French Quarter — romantic as ever, with restaurants serving up heaping helpings of savory Creole cuisine, and nightclubs and street musicians playing the kind of jazz that gets your toes tapping. The best part is, you can soak up some of this flavor before sailing on one of our cruises out of New Orleans.  Whether you’re whooping it up on Bourbon Street, listening to the Jackson Square trumpeters, or hearing the ghosts whisper at eerie St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, spending extra time in the Big Easy is a must when cruising from New Orleans. Time your NOLA cruise right, and you can step out with the parades of Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras.

Day 2: Fun Day at Sea

No port today! It’s a great time to explore your ship and its exciting entertainment, food and activities! Or take it easy at the pool, spa, or... if you book a room with a balcony, enjoy the waves.

Day 3: Cozumel

8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Cozumel is proof that Mexico can do ‘island flavor’ with the best of the Caribbean. It may not be the biggest island in the sea, but Cozumel offers a huge variety of things to do, see, taste and explore. This island just happens to be perched atop a coral reef, which promises hours of snorkeling or scuba diving fun. Cruises to Cozumel dock at the island’s heart — just minutes from San Miguel’s seafront shops and the white sand beach at Chankanaab National Park. Drift among star corals and sea fans on a Cozumel diving excursion or simply kick back on the beach beneath your own palm palapa as the turquoise waves roll in. With non-stop zip line action, ancient discoveries at the nearby Mayan ruins, or time spent with your toes in the sand, a cruise to Cozumel may just top your best vacations list… before you even get home.

Day 4: Progreso, Yucatán

8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Cruise to the Yucatán Peninsula for an unbeatable combination of breathtaking beaches and fascinating history. Carnival cruises to Progreso dock on Mexico’s Emerald Coast alongside the Gulf of Mexico, where hot pink flamingos gather by the hundreds and sun-bleached Maya pyramids rise from the jungle. This explosion of color and cultural landmarks is yours to explore on your cruise to Yucatán. Inland from Progreso’s golden beaches are the spectacular Maya ruins of Uxmal and the colorful city of Mérida, the region’s best shopping stop for handmade crafts. Discover the Maya world’s natural beauty and ancient history with cruises to Progreso, Mexico.

Day 5: Fun Day at Sea

No port today! It’s a great time to explore your ship and its exciting entertainment, food and activities! Or take it easy at the pool, spa, or... if you book a room with a balcony, enjoy the waves.
