Cruising offers incredible value, but understanding what’s included—and what’s optional—helps you avoid surprises and plan a vacation that fits your travel style and budget.
This is also where working with a travel advisor truly shines. The Travel help their clients understand their options, decide which add-ons make sense for their vacation, and ensure they get the best overall value.

Refundable Deposits: These fares are flexible. If you cancel before the final payment deadline—typically 75 to 90 days before sailing—you can receive a full refund of your deposit and any payments made. After final payment, cancellation fees increase as the sail date approaches, following a tiered schedule based on cruise length and timing of cancellation.
Non-Refundable Deposits: These fares are usually lower-priced but less flexible. The deposit is non-refundable at any time. If you cancel before final payment, you may receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) minus a $100 per person service fee. After final payment, standard cancellation penalties apply, which can range from partial refunds to no refund depending on how close you are to the departure date.
