✈️ Travel & Flight Considerations
  • Flights may take 10+ hours and may involve multiple connections.
  • Be prepared for long travel days. Pack your patience, as this is a long journey!
 
🚶 Walking & Mobility
  • This trip includes a lot of walking, so comfortable shoes are a must. Some areas have uneven ground, stairs, and long walking distances.
  • Excursions often require walking over varied terrain that may not be wheelchair accessible.
  • If you have mobility issues, difficulty walking long distances, or use mobility aids, please contact us so we can discuss possible accommodations before booking.
  • Consider carefully if this trip is right for you, as mobility challenges could limit full participation in some activities.

 

🚌 Transportation

  • Excursions are reached by bus rides, which can take time.
  • We will be going to different cities by bus, so we can be on the bus for hours at a time.

 

🚻 Restroom Conditions

  • Restrooms may be different from what you’re used to (example: a hole in the ground instead of a toilet).
  • Toilet paper and other supplies may not be available, so please bring your own tissues and wipes, especially when out doing activities and excursions.
  • There may be strong smells, so please prepare mentally and respectfully. Bring masks for your comfortability if necessary.
 
🍲 Food & Culture
  • Food is prepared differently than in the U.S. so expect new flavors and styles.
  • It’s okay if you don’t like something, but we want to avoid sending food back or asking for it to be made the way you’re used to.
  • Please respect the culture and avoid being loud, rude, or judgmental about toilets, smells, food, or anything else that may be different in their culture than from ours. We are guests in their home country, and respect is essential.

✈️Your travel date would be October 10th or October 11th, depending on how long the flight is from your area.

👩Please feel free to invite any friends or family. To maintain a peaceful and enjoyable environment for the group, I kindly ask that all travelers bring positive energy and a cooperative spirit.

‼️If you have iffy feelings about them (the people that you are inviting) in the United States, or if they are full of drama, please DON'T invite them on this trip. (I know we all know some people who just won't do right no matter where they go 😳.)

You DO NEED a passport for this trip. If you have a passport that is not from the US, or if you are not a US citizen, please let me know before paying the deposit, as things may be different for you. I'm not familiar with the travel guidelines or requirements for countries outside of the United States. As such, it will be your responsibility to ensure you meet all of the necessary requirements for travel to Ghana, including passport validity, visa requirements, and/or any other documents or records that may be needed based on your country of residence and entry requirements to Ghana.

💻Please take the time to research and confirm what's required for your journey. To ensure mutual understanding, each traveler outside of the United States will be asked to sign a waiver acknowledging responsibility for these important steps. If you need guidance on where to start, I recommend reaching out to your country's embassy or consulate for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

🎟To enter Ghana, you must have a valid visa (unless passport holders of visa-exempt countries) and meet health requirements. Please carefully review the steps below to ensure your application is complete and submitted on time.

For a October 2027 trip, we recommend applying in August 2027.

Visas are valid for 90 days from the date of issue, so don’t apply too early.

Your application must include the following:

‼️Original Passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date.
Must have at least one blank visa page.
You must mail your original passport to the embassy. This is required for them to insert the visa.

💻Visa Application Form
Fill out the online application and print the confirmation page.
Be sure all details match your passport.

Two (2) Passport Photo
Standard 2x2 inches, recent, with white background.

✈️Flight Itinerary
A printed copy of your round-trip airline reservation.

🏨Hotel Confirmation
You’ll be provided with an official letter or group reservation confirmation.

💉Proof of Yellow Fever Vaccination
A yellow vaccination card is required for entry into Ghana. No exceptions.
Visit a travel clinic or your doctor to get the Yellow Fever vaccine.

Financial Documents
A recent bank statement or letter of financial support may be requested to show proof of sufficient funds.
Make sure the account name matches your name (or include a signed letter of explanation if not).

Self-Addressed Return Envelope
Include a prepaid, trackable return envelope (UPS, FedEx, or USPS Priority Express) so they can send your passport and visa back to you.

Visa Fee
As of now, the single-entry visa fee is approximately $60–$100 depending on processing time (subject to change).
Pay via money order or cashier’s check, made out to Embassy of Ghana.
No personal checks.

Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity after our arrival date.

Hotel Information

🏨 We will stay in 3 hotels in 3 different cities. The cities are Accra, Kumasi, and Elmina.

🏨 We will stay 3 nights in Accra at the Labadi Beach Hotel or similar.
🏨 We will stay 2 nights in Kumasi at the Oak Plaza or similar.
🏨 We will spend 2 nights in Elmina at Lemon Beach Hotel or similar.

‼️Cost for double occupancy starts at $4363 per person. Cost for single occupancy is $6,554 per person.‼️

✈️ Flight prices are not included in the above prices. Each traveler is responsible for their flight arrangements as Vacations R Us Travel, LLC does not book or manage the flight details, but we will help coordinate travel and give travel suggestions.

✈️ This is a long flight and travel time. Most flight times are more than 13+ hours. Please pack your patience with you!!

✈️ Slice– You can put down a deposit, and payments can be made weekly or every other week depending on the plan that you select. Ask me for more details.

Payment Structure: Clients can opt for a monthly payment plan to manage the cost of their travel arrangements. The total trip cost will be divided into equal monthly payments.

Deposit Requirement: A non-refundable deposit of $200  per person is required upon booking to secure your reservation. This amount will be applied toward your total trip cost.

Payment Schedule: Monthly payments will begin on the month after your deposit is made and continue until the trip balance is paid in full. The final payment is due July 1, 2027.

Payment Methods: Payments can be made via credit/debit card and are paid directly to the supplier. Clients are responsible for ensuring timely payments.

Late Payments: Continuous late payments may result in the cancellation of the reservation.

Cancellation Policy: Clients can cancel their trip under the standard cancellation policy listed below.

Changes to the Plan: Clients may adjust their payment plan upon request, subject to approval. Changes may affect the total trip cost and payment schedule.

Confirmation of Payments: Clients will receive confirmation of each payment received and their remaining balance.

You can pay a large lump sum as well to reduce the balance quickly.

I have contractual due dates that I have to adhere to with the vendor. Please be mindful of that, and make payments when you agreed to make them. If payments start to fall behind, your reservation may be subject to cancellation. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, so if you start to experience difficulties making your payments, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're happy to discuss potential options to keep you on track.

Roommate Terms: Please be aware that the prices are based on double occupancy. This means that the rate is calculated based upon you sharing a room with a roommate.

🏨 The double occupancy rate is $4363 per person and the solo occupancy rate is $6554 per person. If your roommate decides to cancel their participation in the trip at any time, you will be responsible for paying the single occupancy rate, which is $6554, as accommodation costs increase when rooms are occupied by only one person. Please remain mindful of this when choosing your roommate.

🏨 If you're ready to book but your roommate hasn't yet, you can still move forward, but you'll need to select the solo occupancy rate, which is $6554.

🏨 By choosing this rate, you agree that if your roommate doesn't come for any reason or doesn't book at all, you will have to pay the solo occupancy rate. If you're not comfortable with paying the solo occupancy rate, please do not book this trip, as the deposit is non-refundable.

🏨 Once your roommate books, we'll work to adjust the price to the double occupancy rate, but this depends on when they book and the supplier's procedures. Be sure to reach out to us when your roommate is ready to book, so we can confirm everything and make sure that they're good to go.

 

 

Cancellation Policy: We understand these are uncertain times and want to make sure that you feel confident about your options if your plans change.

Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE!!!

If canceled less than 60 days before the trip, deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. For the balance amount, the below cancellation fee will be applicable:

  • 06 days - Less than 72 hrs or no show - No refund at all. There would be a 100% cancellation fee

  • 30 days - 07 days prior to arrival - There would be a 75% cancellation fee

  • 60 days - 31 days prior to arrival - There would be a 40% cancellation fee

 

Communication is essential. If there is no communication from you and/or if your payments aren't paid up to date 61 days before the trip date, we will be required to cancel the trip to avoid any penalties that may be charged to you and/or Vacations R Us Travel. In such an event, any refundable amount, excluding the non-refundable deposit, will be returned to you based upon the cancellation guidelines.

 

Important Information 

1. Booking Terms

1.1. All bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
1.2. A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. Full payment must be made by the due date indicated on the booking confirmation. Failure to make payment on time may result in the cancellation of your booking.
1.3. Prices are subject to change until the booking is confirmed and payment is received.

2. Changes and Cancellations

2.1. Any changes to your booking must be requested in writing.  Any changes made to a confirmed booking (such as name changes, dates, or destinations) may incur additional charges. All changes are subject to availability and the policies of third-party suppliers. 

2.2. Cancellations made by the client must be submitted in writing. Cancellation charges will apply depending on the proximity to the travel date and the specific supplier’s terms.
2.3. If the supplier cancels the trip, you will be notified immediately, and every effort will be made to provide an alternative arrangement or a refund in line with the supplier’s policy.

3. Travel Documentation

3.1. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure they have valid passports, visas, and other necessary travel documentation for the destination. Vacations R Us Travel will assist, but the traveler assumes responsibility for compliance. 
3.2. Vacations R Us Travel is not responsible for any consequences, including denied boarding or entry, arising from improper or invalid documentation.

4. Insurance

4.1. Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover unforeseen events such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or lost baggage.

4.2. It is the client’s responsibility to purchase appropriate travel insurance. The agency is not liable for any losses incurred due to a lack of insurance coverage, and if insurance is declined, a waiver form must be signed stating that it was offered to you but you declined it.

5. Liability

5.1.  Vacations R Us Travel acts as an intermediary between clients and service providers (airlines, hotels, tour operators, etc.).  Vacations R Us Travel is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or delay resulting from acts or omissions of third-party service providers.
5.2.  Vacations R Us Travel is not responsible for disruptions caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or government regulations. Vacations R Us Travel shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, theft, or damage to personal property, or any delay or disruption of services due to seen and/or unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, political unrest, or mechanical failures. Clients assume all personal responsibility for any risks during travel, including delays, illness, or accidents. Vacations R Us Travel isn't responsible for delays, cancellations, or failures of third-party providers.

6. Health and Safety

6.1. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they meet any health requirements for their destination, including vaccinations or medical certificates.
6.2.  Vacations R Us Travel recommends checking the government travel advisory websites for health and safety information relevant to your destination

7. Complaints

7.1. Any complaints regarding the travel services provided should be reported to the agency in writing within 30 days of the completion of the trip.
7.2.  Vacations R Us Travel will seek to resolve complaints in a timely and fair manner but cannot guarantee refunds or compensation for dissatisfaction caused by third-party suppliers.

8. Amendments to Terms

8.1.  Vacations R Us Travel reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
8.2. The terms and conditions in place at the time of booking will apply to your reservation.

9. Governing Law

9.1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United States/Florida,  and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

 

To ensure a positive experience for all participants, it is expected that travelers will maintain a respectful, cooperative, and courteous attitude toward fellow travelers, staff, and third-party service providers throughout the trip. The following guidelines must be adhered to:

Fairness and integrity: To ensure fairness towards everyone in the group, we kindly ask that only travelers who booked their accommodations and excursions through Vacations R Us Travel share rooms with other guests who paid through Vacations R Us Travel. This would also go for our excursions, transportation, and group activities.  An example of what I am speaking of would be someone inviting their friends/family to come, and their friends stay in the room with them in secret, or someone trying to get on one of our buses or participate in our group activities without being a confirmed guest on Vacations R Us travel list. This policy helps us maintain organization, provides fairness to other travelers who have paid through Vacations R Us Travel, and provides the best possible service for those who are part of the group booking. 

Respect for Others: Travelers should respect the cultural norms, personal space, and privacy of fellow travelers and the communities we visit.

Cooperation: Group travel requires mutual cooperation. Travelers should follow the itinerary, be punctual for scheduled activities, and communicate with the group leader or tour guide if any issues arise.

Prohibited Behavior: Any behavior that causes discomfort, endangers others, or disrupts the group experience (such as verbal or physical harassment, violence, or excessive intoxication) will not be tolerated.

Resolution of Conflicts: Should any conflicts arise between travelers, the tour leader or a designated representative will mediate the issue, and travelers are expected to cooperate with these efforts to maintain harmony.

Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in the removal of the traveler from the tour, with no refund provided for missed portions of the trip. The traveler will be responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of their behavior.

At Vacations R Us Travel, we strive to maintain positive and respectful relationships with all of our clients. If at any point, the professional relationship between the client and Vacations R Us Travel is compromised due to communication challenges, unmet expectations, or other factors, Vacations R Us Travel reserves the right to discontinue services and remove the client from the trip.

In such cases, the following terms will apply:

Notification: The client will be notified in writing of the decision to discontinue services, along with the reasons for this action.

Refunds and Costs: Any refunds or cancellation fees will be subject to the terms outlined in the original agreement, taking into account non-refundable deposits or payments made on behalf of the client. Vacations R Us Travel will work to minimize losses, but clients should be aware of any non-recoverable costs. Please note that if you choose to miss an excursion or any portion of the trip for any reason, we are unable to offer a refund. 

Transition of Services: Upon cancellation, Vacations R Us Travel will provide the client with any relevant information, bookings, and contacts needed to assume control of the remainder of the trip independently.

At Vacations R Us Travel, your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our services. By engaging with Vacations R Us Travel, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
