This coming winter we'll be heading to the exotic and historically rich city of Medellin, located in Colombia. Not a beach getaway but our hotel's scenic and breathtaking rooftop pool views will make up for it (plus, the weather in Medellin during February is typically 80+)! In addition, we'll be taking a day trip to one of the most colorful towns in the world known as Guatape.  Guatape is a blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and recreational opportunities, making it a must-visit destination in Colombia. This immersive excursion includes a boat ride along the Peñol-Guatape Reservoir and also features a gastronomic experience, so be sure to pack your appetite.
 
This will be an exciting adventure and I hope you'll be joining the crew in February!

What's included in this trip:
  • Transportation to and from Jose Maria Cordova International Airport (MDE)
  • Hotel accommodations at the 4.5 star York Luxury Suites Medellin (not all-inclusive but breakfast is included)

  • International flight to and from Jose Maria Cordova International Airport (MDE)
  • Travel insurance (very highly recommended)
  • Optional half-day Pablo Escobar Godfather excursion
Tentative Itinerary:
  • Day 1 (2/15): Arrivals
  • Day 2 (2/16): Optional Pablo Escobar Godfather excursion (departs at 9am) & evening meet & greet
  • Day 3 (2/17): Full day trip to Guatape:
    • 8:00am pick up
  • Day 4 (2/18): Chill Day! Hit the spa, tour the city, or enjoy the rooftop
  • Day 5: (2/19): Departures    
 
The Fine Print (Please read carefully):
  • PAYMENT PLAN: If selecting the payment plan, you MUST accept the auto-payment option when reserving your spot
CANCELLATION POLICY: Your travel package is nonrefundable/nontransferable. Travel insurance is not mandatory yet highly recommended. With travel insurance, should you need to cancel, you can file a claim against your travel insurance policy. Depending on the reason for your cancellation, you may be reimbursed between 80-100% of your payments toward your trip. The insurance cost is customized according to your vacation cost, age and state of residency. In the event that a natural disaster, such as hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, or severe weather conditions, prevents Coconut and Concrete Travel from fulfilling its obligations under this agreement, including the provision of travel services or accommodations, Coconut and Concrete Travel shall promptly notify affected clients of the situation and the impact on their bookings. Coconut and Concrete Travel shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by such natural disaster. Clients affected by cancellations due to the natural disaster will need to submit a claim against their travel insurance if they have opted to purchase insurance.
  • CHANGE POLICY: There is a $50 fee to make any name, room category or roommate change to your reservation, there may also be an increase in your overall travel package rate as well.
  • Final payment is due February 1, 2025; there is a late payment fee of $50 for payments made after final payment date up to February 6, 2025.  Trips not paid in full after this date will be canceled without refund.
