  • International Flights from the United States
    • Guests will depart the US to arrive by October 12, 2024. Transfers are included for October 12th only, time to be announced.
  • Travel Insurance - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - Please ensure you have full comprehensive travel insurance covering you in the event of any serious illness or injury - due to the remoteness of some of the locations, your travel insurance should cover you in the event of an emergency airlift/evacuation being required. Please also note that travel insurance should be purchased within 21 days of initial trip deposit to cover any pre-existing conditions.
  • Roommate Matching
  • Gratuities for tour guide (suggested $12 per day for guide and $7 per day for driver)
    • Ranger/guide R 400 (US$ 25) per room per day
    • Tracker R 300 (US$ 20) per room per day
    • General camp staff / Butlers R 300 (US$ 20) per room per day (this is a pooled tip shared among the staff i.e., housekeepers, waiters, bartenders etc.)

Notes:

 

  • Please note that you will need at least one blank page in your passport and at least 6 months of validity beyond your travel dates
  • South Africa - Upon entry into South Africa, passport holders are required to have at least one, entirely blank (unstamped) visa page in their passport, each time entry is sought into South Africa. These pages are in addition to the endorsement/amendment pages at the back of the passport. South African government regulations prohibit airlines from boarding passengers without the required blank page.
  • Local/regional scheduled airline flights included in Economy Class as per the offer. Subject to seat and class availability at the time of making a booking. On all the internal/regional scheduled airline flights they will have 44 lbs per person (20kgs) in regular type suitcases. We suggest they travel with this luggage allowance throughout their trip.
  • All fares quoted are based on the lowest most restrictive non-refundable fares available from the airlines and restrictions would apply for refund/changes once tickets are issued. Only partial taxes would be refunded on request.
  • All press releases/Airline policies change constantly, so the information given regarding airline policies is the most up to date that we have for the moment
  • ALL FARES QUOTED ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTIFICATION FROM THE AIRLINES – WE THEREFORE CAN ONLY GUARANTEE A FARE ON THE DAY OF QUOTATION SUBJECT TO SEAT AVAILABILITY. ALL RESERVATIONS WILL NEED TO BE RE-QUOTED ON DAY OF INSTRUCTION TO ISSUE – AIRPORT TAXES FLUCTUATE IN THE SYSTEM DAILY – PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND
  • MALARIA - MALARIA PRECAUTIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR MOST SAFARIS – PLEASE CONSULT YOUR LOCAL DOCTOR OR CLINIC
  • Make sure you are up-to-date on routine vaccines before every trip. These vaccines include the COVID-19 Vaccine, measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, polio vaccine, and your yearly flushot.
  • The CDC recommends you to visit your doctor (ideally, 4-6 weeks) before your trip to get vaccines or medicines you may need.

TERMS & POLICIES

  • Making reservations for this package signifies your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions.
  • Deposit payments of $250 to Amare Travel are non-refundable.
  • Passengers are responsible for ensuring that they have the proper travel documents and MUST CHECK with the respective consulate(s) or visa agency to determine whether any visas or passports are required. 
  • Reservations must be made in your FULL NAME as it appears on your passport. Your name on your invoice MUST match your passport.
  • Missing a vacation is bad enough. Losing the money, paid for your vacation is even worse. Therefore, we recommend Travel Protection that helps provide coverage for Trip Cancellation, Interruption, Baggage Loss or Delay, Medical Expenses and more.  
  • Seat assignments ARE at the discretion of airlines. Seats for this group tour are only located in economy class.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • Monthly payments are not required to keep your reservations current however they are available and your invoice will clearly note your payment plan. We suggest you put this payment plan on your personal calendar.
  • You must ensure your roommate, if applicable, is also making timely monthly payments.
  • Name changes are allowed for a fee.

POLICY REGARDING CANCELLATION / NO SHOW / EARLY DEPARTURE

In the event of cancellation of travel arrangements due to any reasons–we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the time/date we receive your notification in writing. Cancellation fees as below apply to the land packages and/or services.

120 - 61 days prior to arrival–25% of the Tour.

60 - 31 days prior to arrival–40% of the Tour.

30 - 07 days prior to arrival–75% of the Tour.

06 days - 72 hours prior to arrival - 90% of the Tour.

Less than 72 hours or No Show–No Refund.

For any train or flight tickets involved, the refund will be applicable as per the advised cancellation policy at the time of booking. In case of special train journey and high peak season bookings (from 20th Dec to 15th Jan) a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which would be advised as and when required).

    • Your roommate will need to complete a separate form in order to receive a separate invoice.
