Cartagena is much more than Sun and Sea. It is home to fascinating indigenous and Afro-descendant cultures, carnivals, music, sacred archaeological sites, and the most beautiful colonial city in the world, Cartagena de Indias.
Join me for a glimpse into the colorful culture that is Cartagena. We will enjoy the cuisine, learn a little history of the first 'free town', do some dancing, do a little swimming, and more.

Itinerary:
- April 11, 2024 - Depart the US on a connecting flight to Colombia, get refreshed, and prepare for the Welcome Dinner
- April 12, 2024 - Book a FREE Walled City walking tour
- April 13, 2023 - Private tour to Palenque
- April 14, 2023 - Boat ride to Rosario Islands
- April 15, 2023 - FREE DAY
- April 16, 2023 - Depart back to the United States
*The itinerary is tentative and may get changed around based on hours of operations for 2024. The itinerary will be finalized a month prior to departure.
Deposit
The non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is $200 per person.
My agency card will be used to secure the group contracted components of this tour package (flight, accommodations, transportation, tours, and the restaurant for the Welcome Dinner).
Acceptable payments can be sent via CashApp, Venmo, Zelle, Check, or Money Order (payable to Shertina's Travel, LLC and mailed to 7715 Crittenden Street, #329, Philadelphia, PA, 19118). To bypass the required card payment details enter: 4095 0000 0000 0180 01/28 519.
Credit and Debit card payments are also acceptable but will incur a 3.6% processing fee per transaction. For example, a payment of $200 will incur an additional fee of $7.20 so the total payment would be $207.20.
The remaining balance is due in full no later than February 23, 2024.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE due to contractual obligations. So before you make your first payment, be sure of your plans to travel and purchase travel insurance.
Additional Note:
- Traveling abroad requires a passport valid for the duration of this stay. For this tour, your passport should not expire before April 16, 2024. I personally recommend at least 3-6 months of validity beyond the return travel date.
Cancellation policy:
Deposits and subsequent payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Travel insurance will reimburse you up to 100% of non-refundable fees should you need to cancel for a covered reason such as sickness, injury, or the passing of a loved one. There are policies that include Cancelation for Any Reason coverage that reimburses you anywhere from 50-75% of the non-refundable fees. Inquire about the premium for this policy.
Terms and Conditions:
- A valid passport is required for this travel event. If you need to apply for a passport, please go to travel.state.gov as soon as possible to get started.
- You are required to register your name as it appears on your Passport along with your date of birth when making your reservation.
- Deposits and ALL payments to Shertina's Travel, LLC are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is because Shertina's Travel, LLC has contractual agreements with hotels, airlines, cruises, and other vendors that do not provide any refunds. This way we can keep our package prices competitive and allow you to make monthly payments on your vacation.
- Rates are not guaranteed until a deposit is received.
- Prices are subject to change without notice.
- Lead Passenger is responsible for receiving and relaying any and all communications/correspondence to the rest of the passengers unless you provide their personal email for communications.
- All travelers sharing a room are required to make their initial deposit together to secure their reservation.
- Name changes are allowed with a $200 name change fee up until the final payment date and $250 after the final payment date plus any vendor fees.
- All canceled reservations must be submitted to Shertina's Travel, LLC in writing. If cancellation occurs and the occupancy of the room falls below the initial occupancy, payments must be paid to satisfy the adjusted room rate.
- Any new guests added to the reservation will have to make all scheduled payments up to date and will be charged the Reservation Revision Fee of $50.00 per person.
- Travel Insurance is highly recommended as its a way to protect your vacation investment in the event that the unexpected occurs.
