Located in one of only 5 Blue Zones in the world, along the stunning coastline of the Nicoya, Peninsula, it is not hard to see why health and happiness abounds here. Over 7 kilometres of sugar-white sand, a conscious community of movement and nature lovers and consistent waves all year round, this small town is a little piece of paradise in Guanacaste. 
 
 
 
THE VENUE
Norte Nosara Hotel is a newly opened boutique accommodation nestled in the heart of Guiones town, just footsteps away from a long, white sandy beach, friendly consistent waves and breathtaking sunsets. Family owned and operated, Norte was created with the vision to connect the lush, jungle surroundings with the energy and liveliness of this beautiful coastal community.
 
Enjoy proximity to the waves paired with the soothing sounds of the jungle. Thoughtfully designed casitas all include private outdoor seating areas while beautifully landscaped pathways link each accommodation to a gorgeous open-air yoga and movement shala. Take a dip in the pool with lush waterfall or relax in the bar area which offers ample space to unwind and connect.
 

Accommodations are modern thatched-roof bungalows scattered amongst the property. Each features a private entrance and secluded outdoor seating area. The interiors are comfortable and aligned with the tropical elements. Beds are comfortable and dressed with high-quality linens and pillows for a restful night’s sleep. All rooms are furnished with hot water, air conditioning, biodegradable bath products, small refrigerator, and locking safe for valuables.

Wake with nature outside your door, inspire and respire with the rhythm of the day, and be serenaded by the symphony of the jungle.

 

GETTING HERE

We recommend flying to Liberia Airport (LIR), the closest international airport to Nosara.

From Liberia airport, you may choose either a group shuttle service or a regional flight from Liberia Airport to Nosara. Please elect your choice at check-out.

Cancellation policy:

  • A non-refundable $750 deposit is required at the time of booking to hold your space. Your final balance is due February 3, 2025. 
 
  • Any additional payment made above and beyond the deposit will be refunded for cancellations through February 3, 2025. Any cancellation after February 3, 2025 may only be refunded if a new participant registers.
 

Frequently asked questions

Are flights included in price?

No, flights are not included. You will have to book and pay for your flight separately. You can connect with other retreat attendees in our group chat, and from there we can organize same time flights :) We’re happy to answer any travel questions and help you make this trip as smooth as possible!

Do I have to attend all yoga classes or excursions?

Nope! This is your vacation, you can make the most of it however you please. There will be a schedule of activities and meals but nothing is mandatory.

Where do I book my plane ticket to?

We recommend flying into Liberia Airport (LIR). From there, there is an optional group shuttle (approximately a 2.5-3 hour drive) or a regional flight approximately a 15 minute flight) to Nosara.

What’s your cancellation policy?

The deposit is non-refundable. Any additional payment above and beyond the deposit will be refunded for cancellations through February 3, 2025. Any cancellation after February 3, 2025 may only be refunded if a new participant registers.

Do I need travel insurance?

We highly recommend travel insurance, but it is not required to attend the retreat. We can never be certain of what will or could happen.

The Barefoot Bungalow features a private entrance as well as a secluded outdoor seating area surrounded by tropical palm trees. Two twin beds and a bunk bed enables extra sleeping arrangements for up to 4, while also maximizing the space and allowing for a cool and comfortable seating area on one side. You will be able to enjoy a newly remodeled bathroom with rainfall shower head as well as a refrigerator and safe in your room.
 
Each private and secluded thatched-roof bungalow is designed to blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings. The thoughtful fusion of modern style and tropical elements provides an intimate but expansive setting that encourages rest and relaxation. The use of sustainable materials throughout such as wood, stone, bamboo and more ensures that we remain conscious of our surroundings while also strengthening our human connection with nature.
