Your tour also takes you to the ancient capital of Memphis and Sakkara, the famed “City of the Dead.” You will then visit the Egyptian Museum. It is the most important depository of Egyptian antiquities anywhere in the world. It features artefacts from the Paranoiac and Greco-Roman Periods, including the celebrated mummies of ancient Egypt’s king and Tut Ankh Amin treasures.
You will then will enjoy a welcome to Egypt local lunch!
You will then end off your tour at Khan El Khalili Bazaar for some souvenirs and shopping!
Khan ElKhalili, known as the Turkish bazaar during the Ottoman period, was built in 1382 by Emir Djaharks ElKhalili, in the heart of what was then Fatimid City. Until this day, the bazaar is a centre of trade and communion in the city, and offers a wide array of antique, handcrafts of gold, silver and cooper as well as numerous old coffee shops and local restaurants that attract both Egyptians and tourists alike.
*Bargaining is key at the Khan ElKhalili Bazaar.
The remainder of the night is at leisure to relax or explore on your own.
After lunch on board, you will you will visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries, The Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae.
In the evening, you will enjoy a captain’s welcome cocktail followed by dinner on board.

MAY 14 SAIL ASWAN TO KOM OMBO TO EDFU (B/L/D): After breakfast, you will set sail for Kom Ombo and, visit the temple shared by the two Gods Sobek and Haeroris. Kom Ombo is located on a bend in the river Nile about 50km north of Aswan. It is home to an unusual double temple built during the Ptolemic and Roman periods. The temple is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and he falcon god Heroeris (Horus the Elder). Despite being badly damaged, the temple is a beautiful sight as one approaches from either direction on the river, particularly as sunset nears and the colors change. Sail to Edfu afterwards. Enjoy afternoon tea on route. Dinner and Galabeya party will be your evening fare. Overnight in Edfu
Today you will visit the West Bank across the Nile from Luxor, where you will find the Valley of the Kings which includes the tomb of the Thebian rulers, and the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, the only woman pharaoh to reign in ancient Egypt (in the kingdom). Her temple, with its impressive architecture, is traditionally associate with Hathor, the goddess of love and joy. It was formerly surrounded by tropical gardens with plants imported from Somali land.
You will then visit the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temples.

After breakfast, you will checkout of the hotel and transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight to Cairo.
In the evening, you will enjoy a birthday dinner at the hotel to celebrate!

Important Note: Cancellation penalties for some travel arrangements may differ from our general conditions. In this occurrence, you will be advised of these addendums at the time of confirmation or prior to any penalties becoming applicable and as soon as we are notified of these special conditions.
INSURANCE: It is strongly recommended that clients purchase cancellation insurance to protect themselves against cancellation due to illness prior to or during travel. In the event a traveler becoming ill during a tour and has not purchased insurance, all hospital and medical expenses are the traveler's responsibility. Based on Goway Travel’s current cancellation policies the passenger may incur up to 100% cancellation penalties and should protect themselves with cancellation insurance.
Insurance MUST be purchased within 7 days of individual client deposits or payments being made and only covers non-refundable client money held by Goway Travel. If the group cancels prior to final payment and supplier fees being applicable, due to the required minimum numbers not being reached, the premium is refundable providing no claim has been made. In all other cases the premium is non-refundable.
