We will start walking in the most pleasant Republic Square with Government buildings, History Museum and Marriott Hotel surrounding it. In the evening, we can enjoy the colorful singing and dancing fountains. Walking up one of the oldest streets in Yerevan – Abovyan Street – we will appear in the richest avenue in Yerevan – the Northern Avenue with many brand shops, luxurious cafes and restaurants. Our next stop – the Opera and Ballet House and the Swan Lake – face the Northern Avenue. Afterwards, we will enjoy our time in the fascinating weather of the sunny Yerevan while walking around Cascade Monument. If we walk up the “huge staircase” of 500 meters’ height and 50 meters’ width, we can enjoy the wonderful panorama of the city with the spectacular Opera House, Mount Ararat as well as the view to the whole city. Today we will visit Matenadaran - a museum, repository of manuscripts, and a research institute. Afterwards, we will proceed to Ararat Brandy Factory for an excursion and tasting of 3x types of brandy. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan. (B/L/D)

Day 3: Ancient Sites & Culinary Immersion

  • We will visit the only survival of the Hellenic epoch in the whole territory of the Caucasus - Garni Temple. This pagan temple was built in the 1st century as a worship place devoted to the local god of sun Mihr. We will watch and take prat in the process of “lavash” baking in the traditional underground oven “tonir”. Our next stop is at mediaeval monastery Geghard (UNESCO). The monastery is of unique importance and style as it is partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs. Here the visitors are given an unrepeated opportunity to enjoy the scenic view of Armenian nature. Driving back to Garni. Now it is time to enjoy the ultimate mix of great food, sun, culture and beautiful language. The region boasts a variety of dry fruits and sweets. We savor local gata (traditional Armenian pastry or sweet bread with a filling) and sweet sujuk (Armenian snickers). During lunch we taste traditional Armenian barbeque at a local housegarden (optional* instead of the lunch at the local’s garden, we can organize a BBQ in the gorge with the group participating in the BBQ making process). In Yerevan we will visit Noy Factory for an excursion and wine tasting. For dinner we will have traditional Armenian dishes and enjoy folk show. Overnight in Yerevan. (B/L/D)

Day 4: Historic Treasures

  • After breakfast at the hotel we will drive to Lori region to visit Haghpat (10th century) and Sanahin (10th century) monasteries. Both are included in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Drive to Dzoraget for dinner and overnight at Tufenkian Avan Dzoraget Hotel – “a castle by the river”.

Day 5: Nature Hike & Riverside Relaxation

  • After breakfast at the hotel we will drive to Odzun – one of the picturesque villages in the area where we will have a two hours of hiking experience to enjoy the views all around. Return to Dzoraget for a peaceful time by the noisy river. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. (B/L/D)

Day 6: Winery Visit & Artisan Crafts

  • Today we will return to Yerevan with a stop at Van Ardi winery and vineyards. We will have an excursion in the factory and enjoy lunch in the vineyard. Here will have an opportunity to taste the local wines as well. In Yerevan we will visit Megerian Carpet weaving factory. Here we will learn the techniques of weaving, restoring and dying of Armenian rugs and carpets. Leisure time. *Dinner at Livingston. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan. (B/L/D)

For the thrill-seekers, embark on an exhilarating zip-line experience, explore a forested region known for its natural beauty, visit a historic site nestled in the hills, and enjoy a relaxing stop at a beautiful lake.

After breakfast at the hotel we will drive to Yell Extreme Park. Being located in the heart of the astonishing Yenokavan mountains Yell Extreme Park is a real paradise for those who want to combine adrenaline and ecoenvironment. Park offers more than unusual and creative activities and is recognized as one of the most unique amusement parks of the region. Here we will enjoy a zip line activity and proceed to the “Switzerland” of Armenia – Dilijan. We will then drive to have a walk in the wonderfully forested region of Dilijan to enjoy the 19th century appearance of the town. Dilijan is rich in mineral waters.
