Lawal Travel Services invites you to Bacalar for seven nights of stillness on Mexico's Lagoon of Seven Colors. This is an intentional space for Black women. Reserve your space below, share a few details, and place your deposit to claim your space. Everything but your flight is handled from the moment you arrive.

Your Stay

This sabbatical is single occupancy: your own private tented hut for all seven nights. Each room is a freestanding structure with no shared walls, a king bed, an outdoor shower, a private terrace, and calm, earthy interiors, set among the jungle and the lagoon. A place to be genuinely alone with yourself.

$5,500 per person, single occupancy.

Your week includes seven nights in your private hut, continental breakfast each morning and dinner each evening, two experiences of your choosing (listed below), daily activities on the grounds, discounted spa services, one shared group experience midweek, and round-trip ground transportation. Airfare is not included.

Your stay includes two signature experiences. Choose your preferred experiences and we will sprinkle them into your stay. Each experience is geared towards helping you relax and go inward.

• Janzu Water Meditation - an aquatic relaxation technique that offers wide benefits to the receiver, through gentle and active movements specified by the professional on the surface and in the water.
• Temazcal Ceremony - Pre-Hispanic steam ritual for reflection and renewal, guided in a traditional ceremony. This experience honors local traditions and provides a meaningful path toward renewal and inner clarity
• Sound Healing  Session - Discover the healing power of sound in a serene, intimate setting and experience the calming effects as stress melts away and inner harmony is restored.
• Holistic Massage (90 minutes) - A tailor-made massage where some of the best techniques, such as Reflexology, Deep Tissue and Stretching, are combined to relieve tension in the body, using herbal mixtures.

Deposit and Payment Schedule

A $1,000 nonrefundable deposit secures your space when you complete your registration. The remaining balance is due by October 31, 2026.

If you register on or after October 31, 2026 the full amount is due at registration.

You may pay by credit card or bank transfer.

Cancellation policy

Your $1,000 deposit is nonrefundable, as it reserves your room and covers planning already underway on your behalf. If you cancel 60 or more days before your arrival date, your remaining balance is refunded in full. If you cancel fewer than 60 days before arrival, the full amount becomes nonrefundable. Every guest is asked to carry travel insurance with trip cancellation and medical coverage.

• Airfare is not included. Fly into Cancún (CUN), Tulum (TQM), or Chetumal (CTM); ground transportation from each is included, and we will confirm your arrival and departure timing with you.
• A valid passport is required, with at least six months of validity beyond your travel dates. You are responsible for meeting any entry requirements that apply to you.
• Please share any dietary, accessibility, or health needs so we can prepare for you with care.
• Experiences may be substituted with comparable alternatives if weather or availability requires.
• Photographs and video may be captured during the sabbatical for Lawal Travel Services' promotional use; please let us know in advance if you would prefer not to appear.
• Lawal Travel Services arranges this experience through independent third-party suppliers (the resort, transportation, and activity providers) and acts as an intermediary on your behalf. We are not responsible for the acts, errors, or omissions of those suppliers.
