Automatic payments: you will have the option to turn-on automatic payments once the adjusted invoice is prepared. By turning on auto payment, you are authorizing a payment to be processed immediately. if you have already made your monthly payment, make a personal note to turn on auto payment NEXT MONTH before you process the payment so you are not paying twice in one month.

Cancel/refund policy:
- If due to unforeseen circumstances, TAIT has to RESCHEDULE a trip, all travelers who are not able to make the NEW DATE will be refunded 100% of amounts paid towards the trip, less a $50 per person fee.
- Deposit is NONREFUNDABLE and NONTRANSFERABLE regardless of when the traveler cancels.

If canceled between the day of travel and 44 days before travel, the entire cost of the trip is nonrefundable.

If canceled between 45 & 59 days before travel, there is a 50% penalty, IN ADDITION to the non refundable deposit paid towards the trip.

If canceled 60 or more days before travel, the non refundable portion amounts to the deposit paid on the trip.
Refunds may take up to 30 business days to process from written request of cancellation.

The travel insurance premium authorized to be paid on behalf of traveler is paid directly to Travel Insured and at no time is The Answer Is Travel, LLC in possession of the funds paid for travel insurance premium.

Safety in Cuba: we will host an info session mid-Oct to address any questions travelers may have, including safety in Cuba.

We will be staying with local families in their homestays. The reason for this is the US government will not allow a US citizen to stay at a hotel that is owned by the Cuban government.
You are required to complete a client agreement once you have registered. Here is a preview of the client agreement:
Day 1: December 3, 2023
Arrive in Havana, Orientation & Welcome Dinner
Overnight: Havana
The tour coordinator will welcome you and we will go over the program schedule, emergency procedures and answer any questions. After the orientation, we will go out with our group leader for a walk and explore the area around the homestay. At a local restaurant, we will enjoy a delicious menu as a welcome dinner.
Day 2: December 4, 2023
Old Havana, Fidel Castro Center, Spanish Class
Overnight: Havana
Breakfast at homestay. We will depart by private bus towards Old Havana where we will meet a local expert who will lead our walking tour around the area, discovering the main colonial squares. We will continue visiting The Fidel Castro Center where we will learn the history of Cuba from the early 1960s to the present and the role that Fidel Castro took as leader of the Revolution. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we have our first Spanish class. Dinner at homestay.
Day 3: December 5, 2023
Agroecological project and eco-lunch
Overnight: Havana
Breakfast at the homestay. We will take a private bus to Caimito, a municipality nearby where a local and family-owned organopónico (local urban organic garden) provides vegetables to local people and famous restaurants in Havana. We will enjoy the most authentic flavors directly from the organic vegetable garden to the table. In the afternoon back in Havana, you will have free time to explore independently. Dinner at homestay.
Day 4: December 6,, 2023
Social Project with Children, Spanish Class, Cannon Blast Ceremony
Overnight: Havana
Breakfast at homestay We will take a private bus to Regla, on the other side of the Havana Bay, where we will be visiting a Social Project that revitalizes the area by cleaning up and reusing the space for the use and benefit of children and other members of the community. Lunch at restaurant. Spanish Class. At 9:00 p.m. we will witness the cannon blast ceremony. From the Fortress of San Juan de la Cabaña, we will live a recreation of the curfew that the city of Havana lived in colonial times. Dinner at homestay.
Day 5: December 7, 2023
Terrazas eco-community and free time at San Juan River
Overnight: Havana
Breakfast at homestays. We will enjoy an excursion to the Terraces. An ecological community located one hour from Havana where we will learn how the locals live in this charming village. At lunch, we will move to the shore of the San Juan River to enjoy a Creole meal and free time to refresh ourselves in its clean waters. Return to Havana. Dinner at homestays
Day 6: December 8, 2023
Exchange with private business, American classical car tour & Farewell dinner
Overnight: Havana
Breakfast at homestay. We will have an exchange with a business that is the result of a private initiative in Cuba. One of the most important is car repair. We will learn about the challenges these entrepreneurs face on a daily basis. After this, we will go for a fun tour and ride on a Classic American car around Havana arriving at Revolution Square, the venue of the most important political celebrations. Lunch at restaurant. Free afternoon to pack, explore or just relax. Farewell Dinner
Day 7: December 9, 2023
End of the program
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport at the indicated time.
