Terms and Conditions
By booking this group trip, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making your reservation.
1. Tour Operator Responsibilities
The tour operator is responsible for organizing and facilitating the group trip, including transportation, accommodations, guided tours, and activities as outlined in the itinerary. While we strive to provide a seamless experience, the tour operator is not responsible for circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, or changes in vendor availability.
2. Itinerary Changes
The tour operator reserves the right to modify the itinerary as necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. Changes may include but are not limited to:
Substituting accommodations of similar or better quality
Adjusting schedules or locations due to vendor availability or local conditions
Canceling or replacing activities if deemed necessary for safety or operational reasons
While every effort will be made to provide the planned itinerary, substitutions may occur without prior notice. No refunds will be issued for itinerary changes.
3. Limitation of Liability
The tour operator acts as an intermediary between travelers and service providers, including hotels, transportation companies, and activity vendors. As such, the tour operator is not liable for:
Injury, illness, accident, loss, delay, or damage to personal property
Acts or omissions of third-party service providers
Any force majeure event (e.g., acts of God, war, strikes, or government actions)
Participants agree to release the tour operator from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their participation in the trip.
4. Acceptance of Risk
Travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to transportation delays, exposure to unfamiliar environments, and personal injury. By booking this trip, participants acknowledge and accept these risks. It is the responsibility of each traveler to ensure they are in suitable health for the activities involved. The tour operator strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and personal belongings.
5. Client Responsibilities
Participants are responsible for:
Obtaining and carrying valid passports, visas, and any required travel documentation
Complying with local laws, customs, and health regulations
Arriving on time for all scheduled activities and transportation
Acting in a respectful and responsible manner during the trip
Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in dismissal from the trip without a refund.
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
This trip is final, non-refundable, and non-transferable once booked. No refunds will be given for any unused portions of the trip, including but not limited to accommodations, meals, or activities.
All deposits ($250 per person) are nonrefundable.
Any itinerary alterations or early departures will be at the participant’s own expense.
7. Travel Insurance Recommendation
The tour operator strongly recommends that all participants purchase travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, medical expenses, lost baggage, and other unforeseen events.
I understand that Joyous Escapes & Travel and The Globetrotter’s Compass cannot sell, solicit, or negotiate travel insurance policies and that Joyous Escapes & Travel and The Globetrotter’s Compass have not made a binding assurance or promise about insurance coverage. I acknowledge that I have been advised about purchasing travel protection from Joyous Escapes & Travel and/or The Globetrotter’s Compass and the possible results if I choose not to purchase travel protection. Joyous Escapes & Travel and The Globetrotter’s Compass do not provide refunds, and travel protection must be purchased to secure your investment made.
8. Medical
Joyous Escapes & Travel and The Globetrotter’s Compass shall not be liable for any medical emergencies or expenses incurred during the trip. It is your responsibility to acquire adequate travel insurance.
9. Personal Responsibility
By booking, you confirm that you have read and understood the list of inclusions and exclusions and understand that it’s your responsibility to plan, book, and pay for exclusions, such as international flights and visas. You also recognize that it is your responsibility to comply with any travel requirements, such as visas, passport validity, and any health and safety requirements put in place by Thailand. You consent to appear in images and videos taken during the trip, some of which will be posted on Joyous Escapes & Travel and/or The Globetrotter's Compass' social media pages.
