APRIL 12 – Arrive Dulles International Airport. Various arrival times all day. Please use the free hotel shuttle as follows; upon arrival proceed to the lower level (where baggage claim is located) and go outside doors 2B or 2G to the middle median. This is where all Hotel Shuttles pick up. Our Hilton shuttle bus is white with the word “Hello” written all over it in different languages. Proceed to the Hilton Washington-Dulles Airport. Feel free to call the hotel at 703.478.2900 with any questions. Check into your room and relax. We have a full itinerary for the next several days. We will have an informal gathering in the onsite Cardinal Pub at 5:30 pm for happy hour. Everyone needs to be in the lobby at 6:15 pm for a 6:30 pm dinner departure. We will take our motorcoach to the Great American Restaurant for a pre-paid buffet dinner at 7:00 pm. Dinner service tips are not included. After dinner, approximately 8:30 pm, back on the bus and return to the hotel. Our primary concern is always the safety and happiness of our groups. Kindly remain in your seat while the coach is moving. Our Motorcoach is equipped with a restroom, but in the interest of safety, please use it only in an emergency. This is to minimize situations whereby individuals are walking in the aisle while the bus is moving. D
APRIL 13 AT 7:00 AM – Breakfast is included at the hotel, then an 8:30 am hotel lobby departure to our Nation’s Capital. We will not return to the hotel until late evening, so be sure to bring everything you need for a full day out. During this Guided City Tour, we will see the highlights of Washington D.C. such as: U.S. Capital, White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, World War I & II memorials, Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, Embassy Row, National Cathedral, Georgetown, and as many other sites possible pending local traffic and weather constraints. Enjoy lunch on your own with the guide at approximately 11:30 am. Tour continues to see all the sites (with a Cherry Blossom background!). We will have our pre-paid dinner at approximately 5:00 pm at McNamara’s Pub & Restaurant. Dinner service tips are not included. After dinner we will continue our Guided Tour including the Jefferson Memorial, National Archives, and Air Force Memorial. Return to the hotel at approximately 9:00 pm. B, D
APRIL 14 AT 7:00 AM – Breakfast is included at the hotel restaurant, then an 8:30 am hotel lobby departure for Arlington National Cemetery. Here we will board the tram for an informative tour including the Changing of the Guard ceremony. Entrance to the National Cemetery requires an airport-style security screening process. No backpacks, briefcases, or bags larger than a purse are allowed. Please remember to bring your identification. It is safe and secure to leave your personal belongings on the bus at all times. After, we will proceed back to the Capital Mall area where you may enjoy lunch on your own. This afternoon is free time to enjoy the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, Museum of American History, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, National Museum of African American History, and any of the other attractions on and around the Mall. Remember where we got off the bus as you are responsible for returning there to board the bus at 4:30 pm. Now we proceed to our private buffet dinner with live entertainment. Dinner service tips are not included. We will return to our hotel at approximately 7:30 pm. B, D
APRIL 15 AT 7:00 AM – Breakfast is included at the hotel restaurant, then an 8:30 am departure for our guided tour of the Museum of the Bible. An airport-style security screening is required for admittance. For those who do not want to tour this Museum, you may walk two blocks to the National Air and Space Museum, or the National Botanical Gardens. Everyone must be at the Bible Museum no later than 12:00 noon to board the bus and continue our tour. Here we drive through the scenic countryside to George Washington’s home at Mount Vernon. Lunch on your own here at the onsite food court, then a guided tour of this remarkable homestead and farm created by the brilliant first President of our country. We depart at approximately 4:00 pm and proceed to dinner at the Elephant & Castle Pub & Restaurant. Here we enjoy our last dinner together, share photos, exchange contact info, and celebrate our group time together. Return to the hotel at approximately 6:30 pm. Today we will collect a group cash tip for our Tour Guide and Bus Driver. B, D
APRIL 16 AT 7:00 AM – Breakfast is included at the hotel restaurant. All good things must come to an end, and today we all say goodbye and head to the airport. You must determine what time you need to get to the airport, as we have many different departure times. Our motorcoach will make one trip to the airport departing at 8:30 am. Those leaving the hotel at another time may take the hotel airport shuttle. Thank you for joining us and have a safe flight home! B
