Today we’ll explore some of Rio’s most iconic landmarks. Visit Christ the Redeemer, ride the cable car to Sugarloaf Mountain, and enjoy breathtaking views across Guanabara Bay. This is your classic “I’m really in Rio!” moment.

📍 DAY 3 — May 31, 2027

Start your morning with a walking tour through Little Africa, the historic Afro-Brazilian cultural district of Rio. Visit Valongo Wharf (UNESCO site), Pedra do Sal, and learn how this neighborhood shaped the soul of Brazil.  The rest of your day is free to do as you please.  In the evening, consider enjoying a stunning Sunset Sailing Tour on Guanabara Bay — music, drinks, ocean breeze, and unforgettable views of Rio at golden hour.

Today we head to Foz do Iguaçu, home to one of the largest waterfall systems on Earth. Check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxed free afternoon — explore downtown, unwind by the pool, or rest before tomorrow’s big adventure.

After breakfast, we head back to Rio for the final stretch of your Brazilian adventure. Spend the rest of the day relaxing, shopping, beach hopping, or enjoying the city at your own pace.

1. Do I need a passport or visa to travel to Brazil?
Yes — a valid passport is required and must not expire within 6 months of your travel dates.
A visa may be required depending on new Brazilian entry regulations at the time of travel. Travelers are researching visa requirements and taking any necessary action.
 
2. Are international flights included?
No. Travelers are responsible for booking their own roundtrip flights to/from Rio de Janeiro (GIG or SDU airports).
Domestic flights between Rio and Iguazu are included in your package.
 
3. What airport should I fly into and out of?
Fly into Rio de Janeiro (GIG or SDU) on May 29th.
Fly out of Rio on June 5th after the group returns from Iguazu.
 
4. Is this trip good for first-time travelers to Brazil?
Yes! This itinerary was curated specifically for first-time visitors. You get a mix of culture, adventure, beaches, and bucket-list experiences with full support from your trip host.
 
5. How does the payment plan work?
A $200 deposit secures your spot.
After that, you’ll follow the scheduled monthly payments listed in the payment schedule.
Your final balance is due March 1, 2027.
 
6. What if I miss a payment?
A missed payment may result in cancellation of your spot. If you need flexibility, contact the trip host before the payment due date to discuss options.
 
7. Are the tours listed optional or included?
All tours listed with a price are optional add-ons. You may choose any or all of them — they can be added during booking or closer to the trip.
 
8. Can I come alone? Will I be comfortable?
Absolutely! Many travelers come solo. 
 
9. What is the cancellation policy?
All deposits and payments are non-refundable due to vendor commitments.
We strongly recommend travel insurance that includes Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage.
 
10. How much walking is involved?
Moderate walking is required at Iguazu Falls and during city tours. The trails are well-paved and suitable for most fitness levels.
 
11. Is Brazil safe for travelers?
We follow vetted routes, professional guides, and reliable transportation. As with all international travel, we advise travelers to stay aware of their surroundings and follow host guidance.
 
12. Can I add extra nights before or after the trip?
Yes! You may extend your stay in Rio before or after the group itinerary. We can help arrange additional hotel nights upon request.
