Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Co Ltd - Cable Way Fee (Morning Ticket) - Weather Permitting
Guests will take a trip to the top of the world, high above the clouds on the famous Table Mountain. Table Mountain is an icon in Cape Town and is most likely the most photographed landmark in the country. Table Mountain has been named as on the seven wonders of nature and attracts millions over visitors from all across the globe, in fact, since the opening of the aerial cableway in 1929, more than 22 million people have taken the trip to the top. At the upper cable station, guests will find a restaurant and a curio shop as well as some footpaths for exploration.
After our visit to Table Mountain, our tour begins with a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast, passing through the cosmopolitan suburbs of Sea Point and Camps Bay with its glorious views of the Twelve Apostles, part of the Table Mountain range. We'll continue to the fishing village of Hout Bay, one of Cape Town's best-kept secrets. Here there is an option to take a short boat trip to Duiker Island (for own account & time permitting) to view the Cape Fur Seals, which inhabit the island. From here we travel to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, comprising over 17,300 acres of indigenous fauna and flora. Here we can see a variety of wildlife that includes baboons, Reebok, Cape Mountain zebra, bontebok and the elusive eland. The reserve is also one of the world's largest breeding grounds for tortoises. Bird-watchers, too, will find many fine species to observe.
The majestic coastline offers drama worthy of being called "Nature's Greatest Show." We'll be able to see the union of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans (as per legend), and may even feel the brisk wind that is dubbed the "Cape Doctor" for its presumed curative powers. Following the coastline along False Bay, we'll return to Cape Town by way of Simon's Town, where we visit the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach (entrance fee for own account) and Fish Hoek fishing village. Before our return, we'll stop for afternoon tea & cake and a visit to Rhodes Memorial, situated on the slopes of Table Mountain offering spectacular views across the city. We return to Cape Town, passing the University of Cape Town and the Groote Schuur Hospital.

December 24, 2024 | Wine Tour
Wineland Tour
After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel by your English-speaking guide and vehicle for a full day in the winelands including a light lunch.
What is the best feature of the Cape Winelands. It’s true that it is renowned for its crisp white and classic French style red wines, fantastic cheeses and olives but it also has a stunning wealth of natural rustic beauty with vast estates shaded from the African sunshine by giant oak trees and towering mountains overlooking lush valleys.
After your winelands tour, you will be returned to your hotel .
Gold Restaurant is often referred to as a taste safari and that is exactly what it is. This vibrant restaurant promises an evening of wining and dining in scintillating African style. The dinner begins with the drumbeat of the djembe drum and an interactive drum circle, and you will then be lead into a courtyard where you will ceremoniously wash your hands before the feast begins. This 14-course set menu is authentically Cape Malay and African cuisine, while you are entertained by live performances near your table. Gold restaurant inspires and immerses you into the spirit of Africa while you savor delicious cuisine.

You will be introduced to a bit of the “Local Culture” as we pay a visit to the former “Black City of Johannesburg" – Soweto.
We start with an orientation tour of Johannesburg – passing the house of Nelson Mandela in the upmarket residential area of Houghton. We will pass the suburb of Hillbrow – the most densely populated per square kilometre in Africa.
Constitution Hill, Mandela Bridge, New Town and Mining Houses are some of the highlights. En-route to Soweto we pass Soccer City – the stadium that hosted the opening and final game of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
The establishment of Soweto is, like Johannesburg, linked directly to the discovery of Gold in 1885. Thousands of people from around the world and South Africa flocked to the new town to seek their fortunes or to offer their labour. Within 4 years Johannesburg was the second largest city in South Africa.
More than half the early Johannesburg population was black, most living in multi racial shanty towns near the gold mines in the centre of the town. As the gold mining industry developed, the need for labour increased. Migrant labour was started and most of these workers lived in mine compounds. However other workers had to find their own accommodation often in appalling conditions.
We enter Soweto via the Diepkloof – a very affluent suburb and home to the rich. Across the road from here you will find the hugely contrasting old compounds. Your tour takes you pass the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital – the largest in the world. Across the street you find the enormous "Bara Taxi Rank" where hundreds of minibus-taxis transport more than a million passengers around the area per day.
