A rich history of warring kingdoms, conquests, colonialism, trade and natural disasters has bequeathed Indonesia with an exhilarating kaleidoscope of cultures and traditions, languages and religions, aspirations and problems, and the dramatic scenery of volatile landscapes.

Unfortunately, it is this very diversity of ethnic groups and religions that has put a country of such exotic natural resources to the test. However, for the traveler, this diversity and overdose of traditions and religions is fascinating. For decades the country has been a magnet drawing thousands of people to its shores despite its turbulent nature. Its position along the Pacific 'ring of fire' contributes to its status as a destination for the adventurous: Indonesia is prone to frequent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Having said that, in addition to the adventurous thrill-seekers and nature-lovers, Indonesia attracts many tourists wanting nothing more than a peaceful beach holiday, and the country offers many renowned resorts.

A holiday in Indonesia offers something for everyone. Sumatra is an almost untouched wilderness with a diversity of wildlife, highland tribes, unique architecture, wonderful resort-lined lakes, and quaint hilltop towns. Java features steaming volcanoes, astonishing historical monuments, a sprawling capital city and traditional dance, music and art. The image of paradise is epitomized in Bali, an island of artistic people and elegant temples, resplendent scenery, palm groves, beach resorts and fabulous diving sites. Further east, Komodo is the home to the world's largest lizard, the Komodo dragon.

Indonesia is a land of vigorous color, of tensions and upheaval, but also of festivals and dancing, golden sunsets and friendly white-toothy smiles.

ITINERARY:

Enjoy a pleasant ride along the hills of Bali's southern peninsula. This area, known as Bukit, offers a landscape of rugged limestone cliffs and world-renowned surf breaks that is unlike any other on the island. At the southwestern tip of the peninsula, perched on a cliff 70 meters above the Indian Ocean and offering stunning views, is the incredible Uluwatu Temple. The Kecak Dance performance at Uluwatu Temple is a traditional Balinese dance that involves a group of men chanting "cak" in a rhythmic and hypnotic way, while dancers in elaborate costumes tell the story of the Ramayana, creating a captivating and unforgettable experience against the backdrop of the temple and the sunset. The tour ends up at Jimbaran Beach to enjoy an incredible Seafood dinner, served on the beach before returning to your hotel.

Discover the untouched nature of the remote and rugged western part of Nusa Penida island. This morning transfer from your hotel to the harbour and board the fastboat to the island of Nusa Penida. This undeveloped island is known for its nature, unspoiled beaches, stunning coastal cliffs and hidden waterfalls. Balinese people also make regular pilgrimage trips here to visit the island's many religious sites.

After 45 minutes the boat will arrive at Nusa Penida. Then transfer by road to the iconic Kelingking Cliff viewpoint to see the beautiful views over the pristine bay and the surrounding white cliffs. Drive to the nearby Broken Beach where a range of cliffs has encircled the sea creating a turquoise pool where manta rays can often be seen. Close by is Angel's Billabong, a natural infinity pool that is best viewed at low tide.

Photograph the colorful yellow-green rocks that can be seen through the crystal-clear water. Crystal Beach is guarded by hills on both sides protecting it from the waves of the Indian Ocean. Return by car to the harbour for the fastboat back to Bali and transfer back to your hotel.

Start the afternoon with a visit to Pura Taman Ayun, a 17th century temple renowned for its stunning traditional Balinese architecture, manicured gardens, and serene lotus ponds. Continue to visit a Monkey Forest where monkeys roam freely in their own sacred forest. Next drive to the stunning coastal Tanah Lot temple located on a rock island in the sea. Without a doubt the most famous and photographed place in Bali, this sacred Hindu temple sits majestically on a large offshore rock which has been shaped over the years by the crashing waves of the surrounding sea.

Sail from Bali to Nusa Lembongan aboard Aristocat, our 64-foot luxury sailing catamaran. The cruise departs Benoa Harbour at 9:00 AM and reaches Nusa Lembongan in roughly two hours. In the morning, meet your guide and depart for a small village near Mengwi where you’ll start your soft trekking adventure. On this easy trek, you will walk over small hidden paths through rice paddies, past rivers, and coconut plantations. Your guide will explain the ancient Balinese Subak system that is used to distribute water evenly for all farmers to water their sawahs (rice fields). This area in Tabanan is also called the granary of Bali because of its outstretched paddy fields that provide a lot of the rice consumed on the island. There will be plenty of opportunities to take great pictures of the stunning scenery. Your guide will arrange a break where you will be served a refreshing coconut to drink. Your trek ends in Mengwi where a simple lunch is served in a scenic location. Following the tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.

All payments to Alpha to Omega Travels are non-refundable and non-transferrable. This is because Alpha to Omega Travels has contractual agreements with hotels, airlines and other vendors that will not allow us to obtain any refunds. This way we can keep our package prices low and allow you to make monthly payments on your vacation.
A guaranteed deposit of $500 per person is required at time of booking. *EXCEPTION: A minimum deposit of $500 per person is required for bookings to Africa or the Middle East. The deposit is non-refundable & non-transferable. Travel Insurance, which is recommended, must be purchased at time of deposit. Some booking arrangements can require a higher deposit and earlier final payment. Any such amounts will be advised at the time of booking.
If you select the auto bill plan and later cancel this plan you are responsible for making timely payments on your reservation according to the billing plan on your account. A monthly payment must be made on your reservation each month. Your reservation can be automatically cancelled without notice if you should go more than 60 days without any payment on your reservation.

Guaranteed balance of payment is required 60 days prior to departure. For select products, full payment may be required earlier than this and will be stated on the booking invoice. If the balance is not paid by the stipulated date, the right is reserved to cancel the booking(s) without further notice and without refund of deposit.
You must ensure your roommate, if applicable, is also making timely monthly payments.
Name changes are allowed with a $200 name change fee up until the final payment date and $250 after final payment date plus any vendor fees.
Late payment of $250 per person is required after final due date listed on your payment plan. Late payment fees are automatically added to your reservation the day after your final due date.
All late payment requests must be approved by management before the final payment deadline on your account.

Additional Information:

Traveling abroad requires a passport valid for six months beyond travel dates. For this tour, your passport should not expire before June 30, 2025.
All prices are based on the rates of exchange in effect at the time of price quotation. In the event that the US dollar devalues, Alpha to Omega Travels reserves the right to increase prices accordingly. Your final invoice will reflect increases resulting from currency devaluation.
