As many of you know Ghana is one of Africa’s most prosperous nations rich in natural resources and as of late has become one of the fastest growing destinations for travelers of African diaspora. This visit will allow us to pay tribute to our ancestors and hopefully return to educate our loved ones. Many travelers express feeling at home when visiting Ghana. Our journey to Ghana is intended to have both a fabulous time with new and seasoned travelers. Our intentions is to learn more about the countries history and culture and have fun doing it. For some of you it will be a healing journey of the invisible wounds we tend to carry subconsciously. Parts of this experience will be DEEP, EMOTIONAL, INSIGHTFUL, and IMPACTFUL.
Be prepared to explore 4 vastly different regions, eat well, dance, drum, be entertained, laugh, cry, relax, party (optional), and be pampered.

ACCRA (3 nights total) (Oct. 26th, 27th, & 31st)
Accra is the capital and the heart of the country. It’s bustling with beautiful people, lively markets, historic landmarks, an EPIC foodie scene and VIBRANT nightlife.
CENTRAL HIGHLANDS (1 day) (Oct. 28th) Borders the Ashanti Region and known as the place our ancestors took their last bath.
CAPE COAST (2 nights) (Oct. 28th & 29th)The Cape Coast which can be described as scenic and stunning, hosts the famous UNESCO World Heritage site overlooking the Gulf of Guinea, where many of our ancestors took their last bath before entering the dank dungeons of the Trans- Atlantic slave trade.

Thursday, October. 26th Day 1 ~ Accra Arrivals
Arrive at Kotoka International Airport and be whisked off to your hotel after a long flight. Here you can refresh, recharge, and relax as you explore the facilities and property at leisure. We will partake in a specially curated #SIWF welcome dinner experience with delicious local cuisine, drumming, and dancing.
Friday, October 27th Day 2 ~ A ccra City Tour
Enjoy complimentary breakfast on-site. Departure O/A 8:00 AM for a FULL DAY tour. Our plan is to explore Accra the heart of Ghana and visit some quintessential sites to get a comprehensive understanding of Ghanian culture and the influence prominent figures played in it's rich history. We will visit Kwame Nkrumah Memorial park, Independence Arch, the WEB DuBois Center, and finish the day with a EPIC Drum & Dance Circle locates inside of an African Arts Village. Our final plan after todays festivities: free time to explore more of Accra on your own opting for a local dinner or even experiencing some dazzling nightlife.
Saturday, October 28th Day 3 ~ Central Region
Enjoy complimentary breakfast on-site. Pack your bags as we depart O/A 8:00 AM for a day of emotional cultural experiences. Today we journey approximately 4 hrs. by air-conditioned coach into the Central highlands and partake in a full day tour. Our tour commences with a private tour, spiritual cleansing, and emotional reflection at the Assin Manso slave river site. We will also visit the Door of No Return to pay tribute to our ancestors. Our final activity for today will take us into a traditional village where we participate in an honorary African naming ceremony at the Chiefs Residence. We will be welcomed by the chief and participate in a ritual where we reclaim our original names and identities. During this ceremony you will receive a certificate with your re-claimed name & participate spiritual circle with drummers, dancers, and Chief Elders. Post naming ceremony we continue our journey further South to the Cape Coast to check into our very unique yet lovely oceanside accommodation. This one is a real treat! You will have the option to dine-onsite, schedule a massage, or take a nighttime dip in the pool.
Sunday, October 29th Day 4 ~ Cape Coast
Enjoy a complimentary breakfast on-site. Following breakfast we visit the rainforest canopy walkway at the national park (closed toe shoes/sneakers are required). We spend a few hours in the morning exploring the scenery and vast nature. Afterwards, we take in the views of the coast which includes white washed castles and ocean views with hues of blue. We will join a group tour of Elmina Castle and learn a few little known facts about the slave trade and the colonization of the land. For lunch we proceed to a hidden gem designed with women in mind. You will be awe inspired by as Auntie E she teaches us the history of Ghanian cuisine and guides us during our hands on cooking lesson. Finally, feel free to use the remainder of your day to do as you please, with options ranging from local market shopping to pre-scheduled on-site massages beachside or in your luxury chalet.
Monday, October 30th Day 5 ~ Eastern Region Akosomba
Enjoy an EARLY complimentary breakfast on-site. Pack your bags because after breakfast we journey to the Eastern region (approximately a 6 hrs. drive). Before our departure from the Southern region we will stop to donate school supplies to local children. Upon arrival into the Eastern region we will enjoy a private boat cruise with music, libations (optional), and dancing before we check into our luxury resort to unwind and relax. Dinner will be on-site at the resort and you can opt for pool time, massages, or whatever else you'd like on-site.
Tuesday, October 31st Day 6~ Return to Accra Relax Day
Enjoy a complimentary breakfast on-site. Pack your bags as we take the journey back to the heart of Accra (approximately 2 hrs.) drive. On our way we make a stop at local village and learn about the hill tribe as well as visit a wildlife sanctuary safari style. After our safari experience we will arrive at our luxury spa experience where we indulge in treats and tea, catered foods, aromatherapy, yoni steams, and relaxation treatments. Finally we check into our last accommodation and enjoy dinner as a group or on your own (Time & Location TBD). Optional nightlife as a group is HIGHLY recommended.
Wednesday, November 1st Day 7 ~ Farewell Ghana!
Enjoy a complimentary breakfast on-site. Checkout 11 AM, Airport Transfers & Airport Departures.

Cancellation policy:
PLEASE NOTE: There are no cancellations. This is a small & intimate group experience and to ensure the integrity and efficiency of the experience I do not allow cancellations after October 15th, 2022. Before booking please ensure you can attend and understand the financial responsibility on your part.
NO-REFUNDS will be given after October 15th, 2022. This is because SheIsWildlyFree, LLC has contractual agreements with hotels, transportation companies, and other vendors that DO NOT ALLOW me to obtain any refunds.
If you cancel anytime after October 15th, 2022 you forfeit your ENTIRE initial deposit and ALL payments made thereafter.
Cancellations must be made IN-WRITING and E-MAILED to SheIsWildlyFree@gmail.com.
You will also be obligated to agree to the SheIsWildlyFree, LLC travel agreement, terms, and conditions of financial responsibility at the time of booking.
Packages may be TRANSFERABLE to another party, at the discretion of SheIsWildlyFree, LCC up until 120 days before departure. If you can no longer attend and you wish to transfer your spot, it will be YOUR responsibility to find a replacement and coordinate ALL aspects of the transfer minus name changes on hotel reservations. A name change fee of $150 will be assessed via PayPal to the party wishing to transfer their package to another party.
Payments greater than 14 days late are subject to a $25 USD late fee. Payments greater than 31 days late will result in a cancellation of your spot in this experience and forfeiture of ALL prior payments made.
I have made it EASY to deduct transfers via an ACH option from a checking account on the monthly basis, which avoids paying the credit card processing fee. This allows me to keep travel package prices LOW and it allows you to make EASY and automatic monthly payments on your experience.
