Terms & Conditions

Please review your itinerary carefully before authorizing payment. Prices and availability are subject to change until booked and confirmed.

By authorizing Expert Travel Alliance ("ETA"), operating as West Canadian Travel to proceed with your booking, you acknowledge and agree that:

Porto Prelude: Deposit of $100 per person is non-refundable, balance once paid is 50% non-refundable until 30 days prior to departure, within 30 days prior to departure all payments are non-refundable.

AmaWaterways River Cruise: Deposit of $500 per person is 50% non-refundable, 89-60 days before departure: 35% of cruise is non-refundable 59-31 days before departure: 50% of cruise is non-refundable, 30 days or less before departure: 100% of cruise is non-refundable. Cruise bookings are non-transferable, this booking grants passage for only the passengers named on the registration, it may not be sold or transferred by the passengers. Booking Verification

  • All traveler names are entered exactly as they appear on government-issued identification.
  • All travel dates, destinations, and arrangements are correct.
  • You are the age of majority and are authorized to act on behalf of all travelers listed on the booking.
  • You accept these terms and the terms and conditions of all travel suppliers involved in your reservation.

Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Reviewing all invoices, confirmations, and travel documents upon receipt.
  • Notifying your travel advisor immediately of any errors.
  • Obtaining and carrying all required travel documents, including passports, visas, entry permits, vaccination records, and any other documentation required by airlines, cruise lines, or government authorities.
  • Checking current entry, transit, and re-entry requirements prior to travel.
  • Reviewing final travel documents at least one week before departure.
  • Completing supplier check-in requirements and reconfirming flight schedules before travel.

Most international destinations require a passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond your return date.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. If you decline insurance coverage, you accept responsibility for any costs arising from cancellation, medical emergencies, travel delays, interruptions, baggage loss, supplier insolvency, or other unforeseen circumstances. If you have not already requested a quote and would like more information, please contact your travel advisor.

Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

All bookings are subject to supplier terms and conditions. Many travel products are non-refundable and non-transferable once booked.

Changes and cancellations may result in supplier penalties, fare differences, and/or agency service fees. Any refunds are subject to supplier policies and processing times.

Supplier Responsibility

Expert Travel Alliance/West Canadian Travel acts only as an agent for independent travel suppliers, including airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, transportation providers, and insurance companies.

ETA/West Canadian Travel is not responsible for supplier schedule changes, cancellations, service disruptions, denied boarding, supplier insolvency, weather events, government actions, health requirements, labour disputes, or any other event beyond its reasonable control.

Force Majeure

ETA/West Canadian Travel shall not be liable for losses, delays, cancellations, additional expenses, or disruptions resulting from circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, epidemics, pandemics, government restrictions, civil unrest, strikes, transportation disruptions, or supplier failure.

Payment Authorization

By submitting payment or providing authorization to proceed, you confirm that:

  • You have reviewed and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
  • You accept the supplier's terms and conditions.
  • You authorize ETA to process payment for the travel services requested.
  • You accept responsibility for all travelers included in the booking.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
