Peru Retreat

Mar 19, 2025 to Mar 24, 2025

Join us on a 6 day/5 night Expedition to Peru with Inner Bliss!

Practice yoga, explore ancient ruins, and visit Machu Picchu — one of the seven wonders of the world — all in South America’s vast and beautiful Andes Mountains.

Yoga: Tap into the spiritual energy of Peru’s Sacred Valley as we breathe and move together with private yoga practices taught by Tammy Lyons at Lamay Lodge. We will enjoy exclusive private use of this entire lodge that is surrounded by the majestic Andes Mountains! The town of Lamay is a destination free from the distractions of tourism, allowing our group to experience the authentic vibrations of the region. Together, we will practice in a beautifully designed, private yoga studio on the property and rest and restore in spacious and inviting accommodations with private balconies or patios. Daily grounding practices designed to activate the senses will foster reconnection with the earth. Off the property, we will have special practices in and amongst some of the world’s most fascinating ruins. The energy emanating from these holy grounds creates a rich environment for deep spiritual connection beyond imagination.

Adventure: Extraordinary discoveries await in the lands of the ancient Inca Empire in Peru! Beyond practicing yoga in locations steeped in mystic wonder, we will hike the actual Inca Trail, a network of routes used by the Incans to pilgrimage to the holy citadel in the 15th century. Take a full-day adventure to Machu Picchu, one of the seven wonders of the world and a site of spiritual significance known for its healing and transformative properties. With mysterious origins, Machu Picchu is truly an awe-inspiring “lost city” of stone temples, gates, pillars, and holy structures. A sensation-inducing energy vortex that exists on this spot of the earth will infuse our bodies and our minds — words fail to adequately describe this wondrous destination! Our exciting plans for (moderate) hiking and yoga are designed for all travelers. For those who are up for more rigorous activity, there will also be optional challenge hike days. At the same time, some may choose a leisure day for a restorative, yet still rich and fulfilling, experience.

Cultural immersion: Venture out on exploratory treks led by trusted private guides and connect with the divine in this region brimming with sacred stories and history. Engage with the local community and participate in special customs and rituals with shaman healers for one-of-a-kind experiences that can’t be found anywhere else.

Space is limited - only 10 rooms are available for this retreat. Reserve your spot as soon as possible!

THURSDAY 27:  LIMA

 Full Day Lima City Tour

We will begin the visit of the city with an exploration of Colonial Lima. First, we will stop off at the Main Square, to explore it on foot and admire the exteriors of the Government Palace, the Cathedral, and the City Hall, all examples of Lima's still-present colonial architectural opulence.

We will visit the Cathedral; as walking through its numerous chapels, we'll discover various architectural styles and learn about the religious history of Peru.

Our tour continues with the visit of a place that concentrates history and art. There is no other house in America where the same family continues to live since the official foundation of the city and in the case of the Aliaga family, they have lived in the same home for 16 generations and for more than 480 years. Beyond the rich family history, Casa Aliaga is a jewel of colonial and republican architecture. Its environments show us the styles that were fashionable in the 17th to 19th centuries in Lima. It has an important art collection that decorates the property.

Afterwards, we will head to Larco Museum, an eighteenth-century Viceregal mansion that houses more than 3,000 years of Peru's pre-Columbian history. The museum boasts a supremely fine collection of gold and silver jewelry and worship paraphernalia. The museum also contains a famous collection of erotic ceramic tomb art that gives insights into various aspects of pre-Columbian sexuality.   Dinner at Café del Museo .

After your dinner,  you will be transferred to the airport to board your evening flight home.
