After returning from a beautiful trip to Jamaica with my own mama, something stayed with me. We ate well, laughed hard, danced freely, and watched sunsets that didn’t feel real. Jamaica felt warm, authentic, and familiar — like home.

That trip planted the seed for bringing Mama’s Love to Montego Bay for Mother’s Day Weekend.

Then the hurricane happened.

My first thoughts weren’t about travel plans — they were about the people we met. Their stories. Their families. Their livelihoods. For a moment, we considered moving Mama’s Love elsewhere until things settled.

But the message coming from the island was clear.

I reached out to one of my resort partners, and he said:

“Jamaica doesn’t want visitors to disappear. Tourism supports our families, communities, and recovery. Coming — with joy and intention — matters.”

Giving Back

This is an adults-only trip, but we love the kids.
Unboxed Travel will donate a portion of proceeds to a Jamaican charity supporting children affected by hurricane Mellissa.
