🛳️ Virgin Voyages Cancellation Policy 

1. Booking & Deposit Timeline

  • Hold without deposit: If booking more than 45 days in advance, cabins can be held for 24 hours.

  • Deposit: A 20% deposit is due at booking (unless booked within 120 days of sailing, when full payment is required)

2. Flexible Refund Periods

a) Booking > 120 Days Before Sailing

  • 7-Day Grace Period: Within 7 days of booking, clients can cancel for a full refund of deposit and any payments. Refunded back to the original form of payment

b) Between 120 and 119 Days Prior

  • After day 7 and before 120 days, clients can cancel and receive:

    • Full refund on all payments except the deposit, which becomes a Future Voyage Credit (FVC)

c) 119–45 Days Before Sailing

  • Cancellation during this window converts all payments into Future Voyage Credit valid for 1 year from the original sailing date

d) Within 44 Days of Sailing

  • All funds are final—no refunds or credits.

  • However, clients may substitute another person to sail in their place up to 48 hours before departure

3. Additional Notes

  • Taxes & port fees are always refunded, regardless of cancellation timing

  • Cancellation is effective when notice is received by Shoreside Sailor Services or your travel advisor; the timestamp is 11:59 PM Eastern that day 
  • If fewer travelers remain in a cabin than originally booked, Virgin Voyages may adjust rates and re-invoice based on original pricing tiers
