OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE MEXICO CITY PILGRIMAGE

Itinerary:

• Day 1 (Depart for Mexico City): Arrive in Mexico City, transfer to the hotel, and celebrate mass, then dinner

• Day 2 (Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe and San Juan Teotihuacan): After breakfast, travel to Church of Santiago Tlatelolco, the Shrine of Guadalupe (Basilica), La Capilla del Pocito (Chapel of the Little Well), the "Tilma" (where the Lady's image was miraculously imprinted). Then we head to San Juan Teotihuacan where we will have lunch, take a guided tour of the architectural zone, visit the pyramids of the Sun and Moon, and other sites. Then head back to the hotel for dinner.

• Day 3 (Blessed Fr. Miguel Pro): Enjoy breakfast, then travel to mass at Holy Family Church where we will also view the tomb of Blessed Fr. Miguel Agustin Pro, a Jesuit Martyr. Continue to the largest cathedral in Latin America, the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven. Finally we visit the Plaza of Santo Domingo. Here we see to holy sites; the Church of Santo Domingo and the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary. After a full day we head back to the hotel for dinner and rest.

• Day 4 (Excursion to Puebla): Today we travel to Puebla. We climb to 10,000 feet above sea level and view two mountain peaks along the way (one snow covered and the other an active volcano). On our sightseeing tour we will see the Cathedral dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, colonial art, and the Church of St. Dominic where the 1690 Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary is located. We continue to the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi, where we will view the incorrupt body of St. Sabastian of Aparicido. We will also shop in a Parian market and have a typical poblano lunch with Mole tasting. Then return home for dinner.

• Day 5 (Church of Tulpetlac - Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe): Following breakfast, head to the Church of the 5th Apparition where Blessed Virgin Maria de Guadalupe appeared to Juan Bernardino, Juan Diego's uncle. Here you will visit a well of healing water which locals drink from. Then we return to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe for mass. After that is free time in the afternoon and finally a Mariachi dinner for our final evening in Mexico City.
