Welcome to "Champagne Chele's Birthday Vibes in South Africa" travel adventure!  Michele would like to invite you to join her on this once-in-a-lifetime journey to South Africa to celebrate her 47th year around the sun, but also to celebrate the diversity of our culture and experience the natural beauty, spectacular mountain scenery and wildlife of this exceptional region of Africa.  South Africa is a country on the southernmost tip of the African continent, marked by several distinct ecosystems. Inland safari destinations are populated by big game. The Western Cape offers beaches, lush winelands around Stellenbosch and Paarl, craggy cliffs at the Cape of Good Hope, forest and lagoons along the Garden Route, and the city of Cape Town, beneath flat-topped Table Mountain. 
 
Michele selected South Africa for its varied topography and its great natural beauty, all of which have made the country a favored destination for travelers since the legal ending of apartheid (Afrikaans: “apartness,” or racial separation) in 1994.  We will experience many history lessons on this adventure, such as touring the famous Robben Island, whose prison was once home to former South African President, Nelson Mandela.  You will embrace yourself in South African culture by visiting the Lesedi Cultural Village to learn the history of South Africa's rainbow nation.  We will visit the Cape Winelands, which will offer a breathtaking journey through the wine-producing regions near Cape Town and of course, and we will receive a few tastings.  We will also give back to the community by showing our love at an orphanage visit.  BELIEVE ME, this is not a trip you want to miss and Michele truly put her heart and soul into planning this experience.  PLEASE DON'T MISS THIS!!!

Celebrate everything that's different in life in unique Cape Town.  Experience love at first sight in our city hotel that sits on the beautiful waterfront of Cape Town.  There's something to fill all the senses, with fantastic art adorning all rooms and suites, while Cape Town's craft food and drink scene are celebrated in our OUIbar + KTCHN and rooftop pool and terrace.  Radisson RED Cape Town V&A Waterfront is ideally placed in the Silo District, minutes away from main tourist sites, and within easy reach of the airport. Ivory Tree Lodge
 

Ivory Tree Game Lodge lies in the heart of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The reserve is set within the crater of an ancient volcano – one of the largest of a very rare formation.  This ancient configuration comes hand-in-hand with various indicators of the presence of early man in the region. This is showcased through the numerous Stone and Iron Age sites that are scattered throughout the Park.

 
Radisson Blu Hotel 

As the largest city in South Africa and the second largest in Africa, Johannesburg is quickly becoming an economic powerhouse. Some of the tallest buildings in Africa reside in the city's Central Business District. Today, the newly established premier business district in Sandton is home many international brands and financial institutions.  The Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel, Sandton Johannesburg is connected to all that the city has to offer, from a business and cultural perspective, through the high-speed train at Sandton Gautrain Station. Just across the street from the train station, near Johannesburg's city center, the hotel offers 220 rooms and suites, each with free high-speed wireless internet, coffee and tea provisions, and other modern amenities.

 
 
 
 
 

ADDITIONAL TRAVEL INFORMATION

  • Traveling abroad requires a passport valid for six months beyond travel dates. For this tour, your passport should not expire before April 1, 2026 and you should have at least four blank passport pages (2 facing pages by 2 facing pages) available for entry stamps
  • Currently, US citizens are NOT required to obtain a VISA prior to entry into South Africa
  • All prices are based on the rate of exchange in effect at the time of price quotation.  In the event that the US dollar devalues, Travel Stamp Junkees, LLC reserves the right to increase prices accordingly.  Your final invoice will reflect increases resulting from currency devaluation
 
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
 
  • The initial deposit of $300/Person is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable and non-transferable 
  • If you are in a double occupancy room, both occupants must pay their deposit before room can be confirmed
  • You may pay your travel package in full at the time of booking or follow the payment plan
  • You are responsible for making timely payments on your reservation according to the payment plan on your invoice
  • Upon arrival at each hotel and at check-in, a credit card will be required to cover incidentals 
  • There are no triple occupancy pricing
 
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
  • Missing a vacation is bad enough. However, losing the money you paid for your vacation or needing medical attention is even worse. Therefore, we recommend that you purchase Travel Protection that helps provide coverage for Trip Cancellation, Interruption, Baggage Loss or Delay, Medical Expenses, and more

CANCELLATION POLICY:
  • 120 days or more before travel: $300/Person
  • 119 to 91 days before travel: $300/Person
  • 90 to 61 days before travel: $425/Person
  • 45 Days or Less: No Refund 
ADDITIONAL THINGS TO KNOW:
  • A full day-by-day itinerary with detailed descriptions will be provided 120 days before travel, if not earlier
  • If you would like to experience other tours outside of the planned itinerary, you are welcome to do that; however, any extra tour expenses will not be covered by Travel Stamp Junkees
  • A private Facebook group will be created no later than March 1, 2025
  • All accommodations will be 1 King Bed or 2 Twin or Double Beds, unless otherwise requested or specified

  • Names may be changed up to 46 days before travel date without a change fee

Bo-Kap Cooking Class

The Bo-Kaap Cooking Tour experience is a fully immersive social and cultural experience combining a walking tour, a hands-on cooking workshop and a 2-course lunch. This three-and-a-half-hour experience will take visitors on a voyage into the life, food, and culture of the Cape Malay's of Bo-Kaap. During the practical lesson on how to cook like a real Cape Malay 'Auntie', visitors will learn how to make a variety of Cape Malay favorites and how to mix Masala for that perfect pot of Cape Malay Curry.
