South Africa Entry Requirements
 
 
  • Visa Application Requirements for a South Africa Tourist Visa
  • Visa free countries for green card holders. 
  • Most tourists—including U.S., UK, EU, Canada, Australia, and many others—can enter without a visa for stays up to 90 days.
  • Passports must be valid for 30 days after your exit from South Africa. 
  • Two consecutive blank visa pages are required for entry stamp. The standard endorsement pages at the back of the passport do not count as blank pages.
  • You will be denied entry if you ignore this rule.

  • Yellow Fever Certificate

    If you’re arriving from—or have spent longer than 12 hours in—a yellow fever risk country, you must show a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate (ICVP) dated 10+ days before arrival. Otherwise, entry can be denied or lead to quarantine. The United States is not a yellow fever risk country. You do not need the yellow fever vaccination if you are traveling from the United States. 

  • Reservations must be made in your FULL NAME as it appears on your passport. Information on your Visa application, airline ticket, and passport must match.  If your documents are not correct, a name change fee may apply to correct the documents.

Covid-19 Information
There are currently no COVID restrictions in place for South Africa. Please understand that if the destination changes its vaccination or Covid policies, our contract with the vendors and suppliers will still be valid. 

 

Cancellation Policy

The trip is nonrefundable. Full travel insurance to include medical coverage, is required to recoup any monetary loss minus deposits, taxes and fees, due to an unforeseen cancellation or trip disruption. Please read the terms of the insurance policy and select the best coverage that suits your needs. It is necessary to contact your travel insurance company directly in the event that an insurance claim needs to be made.
 
If the trip is postponed by the organizer, all monies will be refunded to you.
 
We will honor the transfer of your trip and payments to a new traveler who is not currently attending the trip, if you are no longer able to attend. There is a $100 transfer fee that must be paid in order for the transfer to occur. Due to safety reasons, the new traveler needs to be the same gender only if you were initially matched with a roommate. By signing up, the new traveler is agreeing to the terms and conditions of the trip, is also agreeing to pay the remaining balance of the trip, if any, and is accepting your selections for the trip.  Unfortunately, we are unable to intervene with any payment deals made between the travelers.

Payments

 
We ask that you check your spam or junk mail for receipt, invoices, or trip updates sent from Travel Joy or Don't Wait, TRAVEL!
 
A second payment must be made to have your booking deem as "active." Monthly and regular payments must be made to keep your account active.  Non-payments and no communication will result with your trip being cancelled, and the space being provided to another traveler.  A reservation that has gone 45 days without a payment, plan or communication is subject to cancellation. 

Convenience Fee

Travel Joy booking site charges a standard processing fee for all transactions. The total amount (including the total convenience fee for the trip) will be displayed prior to purchase. The convenience fee will be broken down into smaller payments and added to your monthly trip payments.

Good to know

  1.  Unfortunately, if you have any mobility or health restrictions that affect your ability to travel freely, then this trip is not suitable for you.  In addition, you must notify us in writing if you are allergic to certain food or environments prior to booking a trip, to determine whether or not the trip is suitable for you based on the trip's itinerary. We must receive any/all health restrictions from you in writing, prior to booking. Consequently, all resulting disadvantages and costs will be borne solely by you, if we are not notified prior to booking and the trip cannot be carried out as booked.
  2. Group Harmony: To ensure the desired group synergy, Don't Wait, TRAVEL! reserves the right to accept, reject, cancel the booking, or expel any individual who is deemed disruptive or incompatible with the interests of the group, including, but not limited to, individuals who are aggressive, argumentative,  intoxicated and/or under the influence of drugs leading, to a negative experience for the remainder of the group. Disruptive or unruly behaviors will not be tolerated toward our staff, fellow group members, or in the group chat. Expenses, including cancellation fees and/or costs for alternate travel plans, or to return home, will necessarily be borne by the traveler. All unused services are non-refundable.
  3. The group trip is open to individuals who are 20 years and older. 
  4. We request that you keep up with all communications, notifications, requests, etc from Don't Wait, TRAVEL! and its affiliates.

WhatsApp Group Chat 

 
All travelers will be required to join and participate in the group's WhatsApp group chat prior to and during our group trip. Failure to join and participate in the chat when requested by the organizers, will result in removal from the group trip. All monies paid will be lost and not refunded to the traveler.

Acknowledgment of Risk & Release of Liability

By registering for the One Vibe, One Tribe: South Africa 2026 trip and submitting a deposit or full payment, you (the participant) agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Assumption of Risk
    You understand that international travel involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to: illness, injury, accidents, transportation issues, natural disasters, political unrest, theft, or delays. You voluntarily assume full responsibility for these risks.

  2. Release from Liability
    You agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Don’t Wait, TRAVEL!, its agents, partners, employees, affiliates, and representatives from any and all claims, liability, damages, losses, or expenses that may arise before, during, or after the trip.

  3. Medical Responsibility
    You are solely responsible for your health and safety during the trip. You understand that Don’t Wait, TRAVEL! is not liable for medical treatment or expenses that may arise during travel. You agree to seek appropriate travel insurance and consult with your doctor regarding any health conditions or vaccinations prior to departure.

  4. Travel Changes & Force Majeure
    You understand that changes to the itinerary may occur due to weather, airline delays, local conditions, or other factors beyond our control. Don’t Wait, TRAVEL! reserves the right to adjust, modify, or cancel any part of the trip without refund due to such unforeseen events.

  5. Entry Requirements
     You acknowledge it is your responsibility to comply with all entry and exit requirements for South Africa, including passport validity, vaccination certificates (if applicable), and visa rules. No refunds will be issued for failure to comply with these regulations.

You will be notified about the status of your roommate request by January 20, 2025. If we are unable to find a roommate of the same gender, your rate will change to single occupancy and you will be required to pay the difference by the final payment date. We recommend that you register for the trip early to increase your chances of getting a roommate.
