We will be holding our first ever veterans cruise supporting Freedom Service Dogs    This will be a great chance to spend time with others that were willing to sacrifice so much serving this great nation and those that support them. There will be events and activities just for this group and some activities that will encourage other veterans on the cruise to join. We encourage you to bring loved ones on the cruise.

Freedom Service Dogs is a 501(c)(3) charity that is rated as a four-star nonprofit organization by Charity Navigator. This highest rating indicates that FSD exceeds or meets best practices and industry standards across almost all areas, including Impact & Results, Accountability & Finance, Leadership & Adaptability, and Culture & Community. We also were chosen for Charity Navigator’s curated list of highly rated nonprofits helping veterans and military service members.

Freedom Service Dogs has earned the Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar/Candid. The Platinum Participant level requires that we share our financial data and report on our goals, strategies, capabilities, and programs.

 

Freedom Service Dogs of America (FSD) was founded in 1987 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization by Michael and PJ Roche. Michael, who was paralyzed from the chest down after a vehicle accident, and PJ, a dog trainer, worked tirelessly to transform FSD from a two-person organization based out of their Denver home to one of the leading service dog organizations in the country at a time when the assistance dog industry was in its early stages.

A Freedom Service Dogs representative and one of the recipients of their services will be on the cruise.

 

 

 

 
This cruise will be leaving from Miami on Veterans Day Nov 9th2024 with ports in Roatan (bay Islands) Honduras, Harvest Cay Belize, Costa Maya Mexico and Cozumel Mexico. We will be returning to Miami on Nov 16th. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Each attendee will have access to all events and gatherings!

There will be amazing stops at this fun event to indulge your explorer side in exciting Roatan, Honduras, Costa Maya, and Cozumel, Mexico. There are lots of exciting excursions to choose from. We’ve also chosen to host this event on Veterans Day Weekend so, hopefully, it won’t require you to take too many days off.

Rooms and Pricing are per-person rates based on double occupancy. This means that the rate we have quoted is for each individual in a room for two. We desire this trip to be one that celebrates FAMILY and friends. Please bring a loved one, family member or friend as your roommate.

• If you are traveling as a single attendee, our tour director will attempt to locate a roommate for you in order to secure the reduced rate. (Email travel@thatkat.com) If you prefer to purchase a higher single occupancy rate, please inform us and we will instruct you on the process needed.

A limited release of 99 rooms have been reserved. In order to hold your room, please enter BOTH passenger's information including name as it appears on passports, driver's licenses, and birth certificates.

CHILDREN’S CLUB INFO:
Children have three clubs available based on their ages. All are drop-in – you can leave the children all day or just for a few hours. Childcare is available for children under the age of 3 at an additional cost.

Do I need a Passport? A Passport is preferred but US Citizens can bring a CERTIFIED copy of their Birth Certificate in addition to a Governmental photo ID. Here is a LINK to the full policy on ID documents for you and your children.

Cancellation policy:
All payments are fully refundable until 90 days before sailing.  For 75 - 89 days before sailing, you will be assessed a 25% penalty before your refund. For 61 - 74 days before sailing the penalty will be 50% and for 31 - 60 days before the penalty is 75%. After 30 days pre-sailing there are no refunds.
