Itinerary:

• Wednesday, July 15, 2025: The Adventure Begins! Departure from USA. Flights to the Canary Islands are overnight. T
• Thursday, July 16, 2025: An intro to the Canary Islands! A quick shuttle ride to our airport and early check-in to rest and meet the rest of the group and your tour guides. Early to bed to adjust to the jetlag for the next day.
• Friday, July 17, 2025: Walking in their footsteps After a good night’s sleep.  We will take a walking tour through Agüimes, the hometown of many of our ancestors. After our walking tour, we will meet with genealogists, Faneque Hernández, Juan Ramón García, Felipe Enrique Martín Santiago.
• Saturday, July 18, 2025: Walking in their footsteps… Today we will visit the beautiful city of Las Palmas, the sister city of San Antonio, Texas, where we will visit the Torre Cathedral, the Canary Museum and the House of Columbus in the morning. We will visit the archives and have an opportunity to learn more about our family history and do some genealogy research. We will have lunch in the old town city of Vegueta and Triana quarters and enjoy the area after lunch. In Triana, you can take in the sites of its beautiful architecture, shop, or enjoy a coffee in at a cafe.
• Sunday, July 19, 2025: We will visit Tirajana and Costa Maspalomas. After breakfast, we will go to Temisas, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, all in the Caldera de Tirajana. Then we will go to the coast through Fataga ravine, to end up in the touristic area of Maspalomas, with some of the most iconic dune fields and beaches in the Canary Islands. We will visit the archaeological site at La Fortaleza and enjoy lunch on a panoramic terrace overlooking Tirajana Valley in Santa Lucia. We will also stop to see the beautiful Temisas village along the way for a short walk around the city to enjoy its archeological significance. We will enjoy a cooking demonstration learning to cook a local favorite Papas arrugadas con Mojo which is the most typical tapas in the Canaries.
• Monday, July 20, 2025: Today we will visit Vega de San Mateo, Arucus and the Arehucas local rum distillery
• Tuesday, July 21, 2025: Morning departure towards the highest point of the island where we visit the highest point of the island to enjoy the vistas. Enjoy a scenic drive to admire Roque Nublo and Bentayga. Several viewpoints and to walk Bentayga archaeological site which includes the Gran Canaria Unesco´s Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage designation. Lunch Tejeda
• Wednesday, July 22, 2025: FREE DAY An optional excursion today is Whale watching in the morning and sunset and Stargazing at the mountains in the evening. (The cost of Whale Watching and Stargazing are not included in the price and are optional)
• Thursday, July 23, 2025: Queva Pintada Today we visit the Archaeological Park Cueva Pintada, inGáldar. We will have lunch in Agaete. After lunch we will visit the coffee plantation in the Agaete Valley. We will depart Gran Canaria on the ferry Fred Olsen to Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
• Friday, July 24, 2025: Tenerife Today you will experience a walking tour of the World Heritage City, San Cristóbal de La Laguna. Visit the archives and architectural monuments. We will have lunch in La Laguna.
• Saturday, July 25, 2025: Los Realejos-Orotava and Puerto de La Cruz Today we will visit Los Realejos-Orotava and Puerto de La Cruz.
• Sunday, July 26, 2025 : Teide National Park and the Ucanca Valley. This morning we depart for the Teide National Park. for an optional climb in the Teide cable car to the highest peak in Spain, 3718 meters. Because of their altitude, those who have tension problems or suffer altitude sickness should not climb. To go up and have dizziness and vomiting, the only remedy is to go back down from altitude. Those who do not climb will appreciate the beauty of the Ucanca Valley. Lunch about 2:00 on the way. Bring sun creams, sunglasses, and hats. Return to La Laguna around 5:00 p.m. Dinner at the hotel at 7:00 p.m
• Monday, July 27, 2025: Archives on Tenerife. Visit the Archives in Teneriffe, enjoy lunch Free time the rest of the day. Tuesday, July 28, 2025 : Fly to Lanzarote. Camel Ride Anyone? Today you enjoy a camel ride through The Timanfaya National Park and a guided tour of Teguise and other ancestral hometowns.
• Wednesday, July 29, 2025 : Grand Tour of Lanzarote. Grand tour of Lanzarote Today you will experience the island of Lanazarote with a grand tour of the entire island. In the evening we will enjoy a special farewell dinner with locals from Lanzarote.
• Thursday, July 30, 2025: Return Home. Today we will return home
