Thailand is a Southeast Asian country. It's known for tropical beaches, opulent royal palaces, ancient ruins and ornate temples displaying figures of Buddha. In Bangkok, the capital, an ultramodern cityscape rises next to quiet canalside communities and the iconic temples of Wat Arun, Wat Pho and the Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaew).

This morning we depart to take a half-day Royal Grand Palace Tour. We
begin with a visit to the Royal Grand Palace, the nation’s landmark, most
praised royal monument, and most popular tourist attraction in Thailand, is a
must. The palace, which is the former royal residence of the Chakri Kings, is
the perfect example of an ancient Siamese court. Built in 1782 by the King Rama
I, it was the centre of power for more than 150 years. Indeed, the Grand Palace
is an amazing place to visit, as it consists of over 100 brightly colored
buildings, golden spires and glittering mosaics, that all date back to the
foundation of Bangkok in 1782. Please note that photography is permitted in the
Royal Palace Grounds and in the compounds of the Emerald Buddha Temple, but not
inside the buildings.
Afterwards, we visit to “Wat Pho”, a giant Reclining Buddha covered in
gold leaf, is regarded as the first centre of public education and is sometimes
called ‘Thailand’s first university’. Mural paintings, inscriptions, and statues
found in the temple educated people on various subjects such as literature,
warfare, archaeology, astronomy, geology, meditation and is considered to be
home of Thai traditional massages.
Dress Code: Please note that the chapel is a national shrine and that
you will be required to wear proper attire (no bare shoulders, knees or
strapless-heel shoes, and shoes must be removed before entering the temple
buildings as a matter of respect.)
Tour Duration: 3.5 - 4 hrs depending on the hotel location and traffic
Afterwards, we transfer back to the hotel and the remainder of the day
is at leisure until the evening to have Manohra Rice Barge Dinner Cruise
