Croatia 2027 Yacht Charter

Jul 23, 2027 to Jul 31, 2027
Croatia
Croatia by Yacht, Curated by Both Worlds Travel
A privately chartered sailing along the Dalmatian coast for a small group of clients.

You don’t need another crowded itinerary or a ship full of strangers to see Croatia. This is a private yacht charter for a small group of my clients, designed to give you a completely different experience of the Dalmatian coast. You’ll swim directly from the yacht, dock in the heart of historic towns, and have the time and space to actually enjoy where you are.

We sail in the mornings, stop for swim breaks in gorgeous coves, and arrive in port with time to explore, dine, and settle in. The route includes a mix of well-known stops and smaller towns that are harder to reach any other way.

Why This Experience Is Different
  • Privately chartered; no outside guests
  • Small group of Both Worlds Travel clients
  • Flexible routing shaped by local insight within the parameters of the Captain's discretion
  • Access to ports and swim stops that larger ships typically cannot reach
  • Hosted on board by Angie Brandt

Who This is For

This Is for You If…
  • You value experience over volume
  • You prefer smaller, more personal travel
  • You’re comfortable with a relaxed, fluid pace
  • You’ve considered chartering privately, but prefer to start with a group before going it on your own

This May Not Be the Right Fit If
  •  You prefer large ships with structured daily programming
  • You are looking for a highly scheduled or escorted group itinerary
  • You prefer fully inclusive pricing with all activities pre-arranged

Age of Guests
This sailing is designed for guests aged 18+. Travelers under 18 may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to approval prior to booking, and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  Please email us at go@bothworldstravel.com

Our Itinerary (click for more details):

  • 23 July 2027 - optional pre-night stay
    • Šibenik is a wonderful town worth exploring prior to our yacht week. We have a partnership with a lovely hotel and can assist with making the necessary hotel reservations. This is not included in the cost of the trip.
  • 24 July 2027 - Embarkation Day in Šibenik - Flights must arrive into SPU airport no later than 11:30am. Guests arriving after this time may miss embarkation and will be responsible for arranging transportation to meet the yacht at a later port, if possible.
    • The transfer to the ship will take about 60 minutes
    • Check in on board between 12:00 and 1:00pm
    • Ship departs port at 1pm for Skradin
    •  If you miss your embarkation time, we can assist in arranging a ground transfer to meet the yacht in a later port; all such arrangements are subject to availability and are at the guest’s expense.

  • 26 July 2027 - Primosten to Bol

  • 30 July 2027 - Pomena to Dubrovnik
  • 31 July 2027 - Disembarkation Day in Dubrovnik - Flights depart from DBV airport.
    • Alternatively, you can choose to extend your vacation in Croatia. We can assist in making activity and hotel arrangements. These costs are in addition to the cost of the cruise.

 A Note About The Route

Our exact route may shift slightly based on weather and sea conditions; this is one of the advantages of chartering a private yacht. The Captain retains full authority over the vessel and itinerary to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.

The Pace

Unlike cruise ships, we sail during the day and are typically docked in port each evening. This allows for a more immersive experience with time to swim directly from the ship, enjoy scenic cruising, and explore each destination at your own pace. Afternoons and evenings are intentionally left open: wandering narrow streets, discovering local wine bars, or simply taking in the rhythm of each place. Dinners are on your own in port, except for the Captain's Dinner on board.

Onboard amenities include a sun deck, jacuzzi, sauna, and space to relax between destinations.

The Yacht
The custom-built Swallow was built in Croatia in 2019 under the strict supervision of the owners. The design was done by naval designer Marlena Dapčić, a specialist in yacht shipbuilding, which gives the Lastavica fleet a yacht feel, but the space of a larger cruiser. At 160.8 feet (49 m) long and 27.9 feet (8.5 m) wide, with a draft of 6.6 feet (2 m), the ship has 18 ensuite guest cabins, a bar, interior and exterior dining areas, a jacuzzi, sauna, sun deck, and swimming platform.

Cabins

Cabins in the lower deck have a small porthole that cannot be opened. Cabins located on the main deck stern have an outside entrance and a normal-sized window that can be opened. Cabins located on the main deck bow have an inside entrance and a big porthole. Some of the portholes can be open and some not.

Most cabins can be configured as a Double (beds together) or Twin (beds apart); however, a few cabins have fixed set-ups where the beds cannot be customized.

All cabins have air conditioning, ventilation that has pre-cooled air, and a private bathroom. Cabin features include a writing desk, chair, lamps, safe deposit box, PA system, hairdryer, TV, closet, and under-bed luggage storage. The air conditioning will shut down when the doors or the windows are open or not shut properly. Cabins are operated with a key card system.

Trip Notes to Consider

Before you set sail along the Dalmatian Coast, please review the following details to ensure a smooth and well-prepared experience.

Travel Documents: Make sure your passport is current and valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date (approximately August 1, 2027).

Luggage & Packing: Space is limited on these vessels. Packing lightly is strongly encouraged. Soft-sided luggage and/or carry-on-sized suitcases are ideal due to limited cabin storage. Pack light, breathable clothing, a light jacket, non-slip shoes or sandals, and sun protection. Reef-safe sunscreen is encouraged. Dress is casual, with some smart-casual evening wear welcome. Sun dresses for women and khaki shorts and collared shirts are perfectly acceptable at most dining establishments.

Fitness to Travel: This sailing is best suited for travelers who are in good general health and comfortable navigating a small vessel and historic coastal towns. Guests should be able to walk unassisted on uneven surfaces such as cobblestone streets, step on and off the yacht, and manage stairs onboard. While the pace of the journey is relaxed, this is an active style of travel that includes swimming, walking, and time spent outdoors in hot summer conditions. By booking this trip, guests acknowledge that they are physically able to participate in the activities described.

Dietary Restrictions:  We’re happy to share any dietary preferences or restrictions with our onboard team and partners and will do our best to accommodate them wherever possible. That said, due to the nature of small-ship travel and regional cuisine, we are not able to guarantee strict dietary environments (such as fully gluten-free kitchens, kosher certification, or allergen-free food preparation).

About Lastavica

Owned by Igor Stančić and his family, they have over 50 years of experience in tourism on the Adriatic Sea. After maritime school, Igor started the first scampi business in Kvarner and met Irena Sladić. They had their son, Filip, and together, worked hard to build a very successful business, but the draw of tourism and sharing their love of Dalmatia was strong.

In 2001, they purchased the first Lastavica (meaning swallow bird in Croatian) and ran day tours from Makarska Riviera. By 2005, Igor and Irena decided to sell Lastavica in order to purchase a newer, larger ship that could take guests out on week-long cruises. Keeping the namesake, Lastavica, the Stančićs became known for their personable service, high standards of quality, and great care for their guests. At the same time, they developed many great friendships with local winemakers, artisans, and cheesemakers - all of which you'll experience throughout your time onboard.

Once Filip completed his nautical education, the family built not one, but two new ships that would be under the command of father and son. With state-of-the-art technology, modern furnishings, and exceptional Croatian cuisine, Lastavica and Swallow offer the very finest in Dalmatian Coast cruising - all while keeping the personal touch of the Stančić family. When you cruise with Lastavica, you embark as a guest and return home as part of their family.
