Costa Rica is the most popular travel destination in Central America for a reason. Costa Rica has it all: beautiful beaches, lush rainforests, and 5% of the entire world's biodiversity! There are beautiful resorts all over the country, and plenty of opportunities to experience the culture and its 'Pura Vida' state of mind ("Pure Life" in English). With Caribbean and Pacific coastlines, Costa Rica is wonderful for those who enjoy the beach and water sports. But don't miss the inland adventures! Costa Rica is arguably the adventure capital of the Americas, and inland you will find volcano hikes, zip lines, hanging bridges, ATV tours and much more.

Bienvenido's a Costa Rica!

Upon arrival at San Jose International Airport or Liberia International Airport, proceed through immigration formalities. Then collect your baggage and meet our local representative outside of the customs exit gate who will be holding a signboard with your name and our logo who land transfer to the Arenal Volcano area on the Northern Plains of Costa Rica.

“Pura Vida”, or the Pure Life is the greeting and mantra of Costa Rica. This is an eco-paradise of waterfalls, deep jungles, diamond lakes, and beaches. Renowned as one of the leading eco and adventure spots in the world, there is so much to explore here by foot, boat, or horseback. The visionaries of this green jewel of a country had an image of the eco-sustainability way before it was hip. Abolishing the army in 1948, the government distributed the defense budget to improve healthcare, education, and the environment. The result is a country where a fourth of the land is environmentally protected. And for lucky visitors like you, there’s the opportunity to play and sightsee amidst rainforests, sun-dappled beaches, mountainous trails, and imposing volcanoes.

This is where the canopy zipline first began, so don’t miss your chance for a thrilling skyline ride through lush cloud forests. Immerse yourself into the dense tropical experience of Manuel Antonio National Park where the air is thick with the calls of monkeys and bright birds sing through the green tangle of trees. Or visit the Nicoya Peninsula to chill on its perfect beaches and emerald, foamy waves. You can explore the coastline and discover nesting sea turtles… and small tucked-away boutiques and spas. Here, time seems to slow down, and you may do the same. You’ll love the warm and friendly attitude of the “Ticos” who will be proud to show you their little Eden in the Americas. And why not? They are lucky to enjoy one of the highest qualities of life anywhere. And now, it’s your turn.

ENTRY / EXIT REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS: The necessary requirements are that travelers have a passport that is valid for a minimum of ninety days after their arrival and an airline ticket showing exit from Costa Rica back to the United States or their country of origin.

Day 2 - Arenal - Sky Tram + Sky Trek + Sky Walk (guided) / Night Walk

After breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide for sky tram + sky trek + sky walk (guided). This evening, enjoy the night walk.

■ Meals included- B Breakfast at your hotel

■ Sky Tram + Sky Trek + Sky Walk (guided) The Sky Tram will take you up to the highest mountain in Arenal. The tramway will offer amazing views of the surrounding forests and even more. While ascending you will also be able to admire distinctive flora and fauna that might be only spotted from above.

Then get ready to enjoy the zipline ride through the forest canopy; whizz along cables slung between canyons, admire incredible views, and fly over and in between trees to feel an adrenaline rush like no other under the tutelage of experienced local guides.

Sky Walk offers a more peaceful introduction to exploring Arenal Rainforest on a 4km (2.5 miles) circuit trail that snakes through distinct levels of the wonderfully diverse ecosystem.

Sky Walk uses these trails and a series of suspension bridges for a one-on-one experience with the flora and fauna of the forest canopy. You will hike deep into these magical tropical forests with a local guide to admire nature from a distinct perspective. Crossing hanging bridges with complete views of the forest canopy, and from the forest floor on well-maintained paths. Trails include some uneven surfaces and several ascents and descents.

■ Night Walk Discover the mysterious life of nocturnal animals! Join us for this adventure as we learn about the incredible adaptations of these creatures in a lightless world. Nectar-eating bats use their echolocation system to search for flowers with nectar even in the absence of light. Some flowers only open their petals at night, with the bat being its most important pollinator. This example of a symbiotic reproduction-food relationship is part of the magic that can be observed on a night tour. Like the bat, much of the biodiversity of the rainforest has nocturnal habits. Their adaptations have allowed them to survive in a world without light, obtaining advantages over their competition for food-gathering, and protecting them from their light-dependent predators. Frogs with charming sounds and colors, sloths, insects, and even snakes can be enjoyed at this wonderful rainforest night party.

What to bring? Closed shoes or boots, light clothes, raincoat, insect repellent, and binoculars.
