Join You Can Travel Too for a South African Experience to Cape Town, Kruger and Johannesburg May 5-15, 2026 (does not include travel to/from the continent)! This is going to be another amazing adventure with the You Can Travel Too travel family. We have curated an amazing visit to South Africa that serves as a good introduction for first time visitors to the continent (and will leave you excited to return).
You will visit Cape Town, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, strategically situated at the southwestern tip of Africa. You will explore Cape Town, eat at local restaurants, take the cable car to Table Mountain, travel to the South African wine country, and visit the enduring penguin colony at Boulder’s Beach.
From Cape Town, we will take a short flight to Kruger. The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa. There are approximately 147 mammal species here, including the `Big 5': lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino (black & white). Your vacation includes an open air Safari with qualified and experienced field guides who know the terrain and the protocol intimately to guarantee a wonderfully wild experience.
We will leave Cape Town and travel the glorious Panorama Route taking in the spectacular scenery. You will gasp at the glory of the never-ending Lowveld landscape from the ledge of God's Window, explore the extraordinary rock formations of Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and 3 Rondavels at the legendary Blyde River Canyon.
You will then arrive in Johannesburg, often referred to as Jo'burg, South Africa's largest city. Renowned as the City of Gold, Johannesburg is a vibrant city with a vast web of suburbs and townships, with a wealth of things to see and do. Here we will take a tour of the SOWETO, an acronym for South Western Township, the largest Black residential area where you will have an opportunity to interact with locals. We will also visit the Hector Pieterson Museum, Regina Mundi Church, have a photo stop outside Mandela House, take a tour of the city of Johannesburg, and visit the Lesedi Cultural Village. This village is the heart and home to families of a range of African tribes, all living harmoniously in traditional homesteads. You’ll be right there experiencing the warmth and hospitality of people from the Zulu, Xhosa, Ndebele, Sotho and Pedi cultures.
