Come join XTD Travel Club as we travel to Morocco to experience everything that travelers would expect from a nation that hugs both the Atlantic coastline and the Saharan desert. Spectacular cliffs are home to charming white and blue colored villages, and incredible waves that make it a surfer’s paradise. Meanwhile, in the Sahara, explore beautiful red and orange sand dunes and glittering palm tree oases. Both accompanied by picturesque sandcastle style houses, and crystal-clear night skies that are perfect for stargazing.

Morocco is located in the northwestern part of Africa, both the gateway to the Mediterranean Sea and the gateway to the Sahara Desert, so this country possesses different types of terrains and diversity in climate, along with countless of extremely beautiful, impressive, spectacular landscapes. As part of the Arab world, Morocco also has many cultural traditions and a treasure of very unique Islamic art and architecture.

Get ready to enjoy the exotic mix of imperial cities, bustling souks, striking landscapes, spicy aromas, and Camel treks. It has a long stretch of deserts, ancient cities, colorful Sahara Desert, and beaches along Atlantic Ocean which is sublimely beautiful.

Moroccan culture puts a heavy emphasis on hospitality. Moroccans are warm and welcoming, always eager to share the beauty of their country and culture with outsiders.

Itinerary:

• OCT 7 - CASABLANCA (D)
  • Arrive in Casablanca and meet your driver outside the airport.
  • Transfer to your hotel in the city center and take the day to relax and recover from your travels.
  • That evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel.  Dinner included.
  • Overnight in Casablanca.
• OCT 8 - EL JADIDA
  • In the morning, visit the stunning Hassan II Mosque, the largest in Morocco and the third largest mosque in the world that non-muslims are allowed to enter.  Able to accommodate up to 105,000 in prayer, this marvel of modern Moroccan architecture is the work of hundreds of expert craftsmen from around the country, many of them donating their work. 
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.  Lunch included.
  • Head to the coastal city of El Jadida.  Drive time: 1.5 hours
  • Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure at the resort, perhaps booking your hammam.
  • Dinner that evening will be at the resort.  Dinner included.
  • Overnight in El Jadida.
• OCT 9 - EL JADIDA
  • Enjoy an afternoon at leisure on the resort.  Lounge on the beach, ride a horse or ATV down the beach, or even head to their golf course for 9 or 18 holes.  (Extra fee required for activities).  If you haven’t already booked your hammam, be sure to enjoy that today!
  • Lunch and dinner included at the resort at your leisure.
  • Overnight in El Jadida.
• OCT 10 - MARRAKECH (L, D)
  • After breakfast, travel south to Marrakech.  Drive time: 4 hours
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.  Lunch included. 
  • Head out to explore the Marrakech medina with a private guide. 
  • Visit the Koutoubia minaret, the tallest in Marrakech.  Within the city walls, no building is allowed to be taller than the Koutoubia's 253 feet.  The minaret is part of the largest mosque in Marrakech, which was completed in 1199.
  • Stop at a Berber Apothecary shop, learning of the medicinal uses of many of the common spices and herbs that are still used across Morocco to treat common illnesses.  While it's not as picturesque as the heaps of spices you find in the market, it is far more informative!
  • Explore Jemaa el Fna, the primary square in the medina and a UNESCO world heritage site.  Though now filled with street performers, snake charmers, merchants, and orange juice stalls, when it was created in 1050, it was used for public executions, perhaps leading to its name which can be translated as "assembly of death". 
  • Head into the souks surrounding Jemaa el Fna to several workshops, including shoemakers and bakers.
  • That evening, head to a local restaurant for dinner.  Dinner included.  OPTIONAL: Stay to enjoy the nightlife!
  • Overnight in Marrakech.
• OCT 11 - AGAFAY, MARRAKECH (L, D)
  • In the morning, embark on a culinary adventure with a hands-on cooking class.  Learn to make traditional tagine, cooked salads, and, of course, Moroccan mint tea!  Enjoy the fruits of your labor for lunch.  Lunch included.
  • In the late afternoon, head out to the Agafay Desert.  Drive time: 45 min, each way.
  • Take a sunset camel trek through the desert, with the Atlas Mountains as a backdrop.
  • Start the party with a Moroccan dance lesson with local musicians. XTD Travel Surprise Experience Themed Dinner -   Please wear Shades of Brown (Tan, Beige, Rust etc.)
  • Enjoy dinner at the camp.  Dinner included.
  • Overnight in Marrakech.
• OCT 12 - MARRAKECH, CASABLANCA (L, D)
  • Enjoy a leisurely morning in Marrakech.
  • In the afternoon, travel north to Casablanca.  Drive time: 3 hours
  • In the evening, head to the iconic Rick’s Cafe for dinner.  Dinner included. Modeled after the lounge by the same name in the movie Casablanca, Rick’s Cafe is a popular spot that offers incredible food and live music.
  • Overnight in Marrakech.
• OCT 13 - DEPARTURE
  • Transfer to the Casablanca airport for your departure flight.

• A passport is required to travel to Morocco. Please go HERE for all the information you need to procure your passport. If you do not currently have a passport or your passport has expired, please note that the current processing time for passports is 10 to 12 wks. Expedited passport processing time is currently running 4 to 6 wks or longer in some cases. For more information on passports go HERE.

• Traveling to Morocco requires that your passport be valid for six months beyond your scheduled travel dates. For this tour, your passport should not expire before April 7, 2024, and you must have at least (2) blank pages in your passport. Otherwise, you MUST apply to renew and receive your renewed passport prior to departing for this trip. 

• All prices are based on the rates of exchange in effect at the time of price quotation. In the event that the US dollar devalues, XTD Travel Club reserves the right to increase prices accordingly. Your final invoice will reflect increases resulting from currency devaluation.

• Please note XTD Travel Club will provide group airfare in 2023. If you decide to make your own flight arrangements, please pay close attention to the travel dates. 

• At check-in, the resort may require a credit card to cover anticipated/incidental room charges.
