Hold onto your seats, folks, because we're about to embark on an African American history journey of a lifetime! The all-new Charleston African American History Museum is just the beginning. Get ready to soak up the incredible culture and traditions of the Geeche/Gullah people. And that's not all! Brace yourself for three days of exclusive tours in Charleston and Savannah and then set sail on a mesmerizing dinner cruise. Let's do this!
 
 

What's included in this trip:

 

  • Round-trip overnight train travel aboard Amtrak from Washington, DC to Charleston, SC
  • Three nights of luxurious snoozing at the Marriott TownPlace Suites Charleston
  • A scrumptious breakfast to start every day
  • You'll also be treated to three days of custom-designed African American history tours,
  • A dinner sail in Savannah
  • Transportation from the train station to the hotel as well as all tours/activities.

What's not included:

  1. transportation to and from Union Station
  2. items of a personal nature (souvenirs etc.)
  3. activities not included in the tour
  4. food/beverages other than what is included in the tour
  5. travel insurance (available for an additional fee)
 

Itinerary:

  • Day 1   - August 29, 2024 - Depart Union station for an overnight train ride to Charleston, SC 
  • Day 2 - August 30, 2024 - Arrive Charleston- breakfast (at your own expense) - tour - hotel check-in - dinner (at your own expense) Custom private Black History tour of Charleston, SC
  • Day 3-  August 31, 2024 - Custom private Black history tour 
  • Day 4 - September 1, 2024 - Explore the black history in Savannah, GA complete with a dinner cruise
  • Day 5 - September 2, 2024 - Morning touring, then free time to explore Charleston on your own before departing for the train station for our return trip to Washington
  • Day 6 - September 3, 2024 - Arrive Washington, DC @ 7:35 a.m. 
 

Cost:

  •  Single occupancy: $1,580.00
  • Double occupancy: $1,220.00 per person
  • Triple occupancy rate: 1,080.00 per person
  • Quadruple occupancy rate: $1,030.00 per person

Your deposit is non-refundable/non-transferrable. You may cancel your reservation until July 1, 2024 and receive a refund of all monies paid minus your deposit. NOTE: the credit card processing fee is non-refundable.
