Wine and Alchemy invites you to make a once in a lifetime journey on the Camino de Santiago Portuguese! You will drink wine, listen to live music, and make an unforgettable pilgrimage!
Roxanne, Araris, and Erik will be leading a unique tour of the Camino (“Caminho” in Portuguese) through Portugal into Galicia, Spain, reliving the best parts of their music writing Camino experience. Don't miss this amazing opportunity to explore the ancient European tradition of making a pilgrimage, which predates even the Church.
Pilgrimages were, and still are, undertaken for multiple reasons including spiritual, cultural, and artistic. The Camino (pilgrimage) to Santiago is one of the most celebrated in the world, inspiring many books, films and works of music.
Kickoff the tour in Lisbon, Portugal with a wine tasting picnic, before registering with the Cathedral as peregrinos (pilgrims). Then from Lisbon, board a chartered bus to visit medieval castles, forts, and city centers. Taste the bountiful variety of local wines while partaking in delicious meals from the best of the band’s restaurant recommendations.
Also enjoy the entertainment provided by Wine & Alchemy as they share music and stories from their travel adventures and life on the road.
Please note, this is a Camino (a pilgrimage) rather than a “vacation” tour. While the bus will provide transportation from one town to the next, there will be some considerable walking in the towns and cities to take in the sites and get stamps in your Pilgrim Passport (credential booklet). Everyone is encouraged to walk the last length of the Camino (around 7 miles) to the Cathedral de Santiago, but the bus will be available if necessary. With this in mind, please pack lightly and be ready for a truly unique experience. A recommended packing list will be provided.
Additionally, private and semi private rooms are available for an extra fee. However, this tour is based on shared rooms at Albergues (pilgrim hostels). Everyone is encouraged to embrace the camaraderie of the Camino through this communal living experience!

21 May - Day 0: Option 1: Depart for Lisbon, Portugal (arrive the next day) under own arrangements for a two night stay in Lisbon.
22 May - Day 1: Option 1: Arrive in Lisbon and check in at hostel: Day at leisure.
Option 2: Depart for Lisbon, Portugal (arrive the next day) under own arrangements for a one night stay in Lisbon.
23 May - Day 2: Option 1: Morning at leisure
Meet group and enjoy wine tasting in the park. Then, go as a group for Cathedral registration at the Church of Santiago/Igreja de Santiago.
24 May - Day 3: Meet driver and depart for Tomar, early morning.
Visit the Templar Castle/Abbey with a guided tour and enjoy a concert by Wine & Alchemy.
25 May - Day 4: Depart for Coimbra, Portugal, early morning.
Fado concert in the evening.
26 May - Day 5: Depart for Porto, Portugal, early morning.
Visit Castle - Santa Maria da Feira.
27 May - Day 6: Porto morning at leisure.
Celebrate Roxanne's birthday in the late afternoon with wine & cheese in the park while enjoying the music of Wine & Alchemy.
28 May - Day 7: Depart for Valenca, Portugal, early morning.
Visit Fortaleza Ancient/Medieval Fort and Shopping District.
Enjoy a tunnel concert by Wine & Alchemy.
29 May - Day 8: Depart for Pontevedra, Spain, early morning.
Explore the city and then enjoy a Celtic pub crawl in the evening.
30 May - Day 9: Pontevedra day at leisure.
31 May - Day 10: Depart for Faramello, Spain.
Visit Pazo do Faramello.
01 June - Day 11: Depart for Santiago, Spain on foot, early morning.
(The bus is available for those who choose not to walk.)
Go to receive a Compostela (pilgrim certificate) then visit the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.
After dinner, participate in the Queimada Gallega.
02 June - Day 12: Depart for Lisbon mid morning.
Tour ends with check in at hotel. Afternoon at leisure.
03 June - Day 13: Depart for home under own arrangements.
You must make a non-refundable initial deposit to Archway Travel, LLC upon electronic or written approval of this Agreement.
Payment of a deposit enables us to hold a reservation for you but does not guarantee the price. The price can only be guaranteed
once we receive full payment and other travel documents have been issued, subject to any terms and conditions of the Vendor. We will
advise you of the date that full payment is required. Upon the provision of your payment information, you
are authorizing us to make the payment arrangements with the corresponding Vendors.
We reserve the right to refuse personal checks as a method of payment.
Cancellation by Archway Travel, LLC
Except as otherwise provided herein, in the event Archway Travel, LLC cancels a group tour, we will give you a full refund of all payments
except the costs of any non-refundable travel or accommodation arrangements purchased for you by Archway Travel, LLC .
Cancellation Due to War or Natural Disaster
In the event a group tour is cancelled due to war or natural disaster in the tour location and/or its vicinity, Archway Travel, LLC will refund all
payments made by you, except the costs of any non-refundable travel accommodation arrangements purchased by us for the client.
Cancellation by Client
If the client cancels for any reason after having placed a deposit and/or other payments with Archway Travel, LLC, you will incur cancellation charges
as follows, in addition to the non-refundable initial deposit and depending on the terms and conditions of your airline and other Vendor(s):

Refunds will only be paid to you once we have received the funds back from the Vendor(s). Generally flight tickets cannot be refunded if they are partially
used. We are not responsible for a Vendor’s failure to pay a refund.
If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your travel insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim your cancellation charges through
your insurer.
