Important Notice to Guests - Please Read Carefully
All guests agree to comply with the Carnival COVID-19 Policies and Procedures in effect at the time of pre-embarkation, while onboard, during shore excursions and through final disembarkation, as well as all orders, rules, instructions and directives of the vessel’s officers and medical staff. Guest understands and agrees that any noncompliance by guest or guest’s travelling party shall be grounds for refusal to board, refusal to re-board after going ashore, quarantine or isolation onboard the vessel, disembarkation, reporting to governmental or health authorities, or other steps deemed necessary in Carnival’s sole discretion under the circumstances to protect the health and well-being of others.
GUEST ACKNOWLEDGES, UNDERSTANDS AND ACCEPTS THAT WHILE ABOARD THE VESSEL, IN TERMINALS AND BOARDING AREAS, OR DURING ACTIVITIES ASHORE AND/ OR WHILE TRAVELING TO OR FROM THE VESSEL, THE GUEST OR OTHER GUESTS MAY BE EXPOSED TO COVID-19. GUEST FURTHER UNDERSTANDS AND ACCEPTS THAT THE RISK OF EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 IS INHERENT IN MOST ACTIVITIES WHERE PEOPLE INTERACT OR SHARE COMMON FACILITIES, IS BEYOND CARNIVAL’S CONTROL, AND CANNOT BE ELIMINATED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. GUEST KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY ACCEPTS THIS RISK, INCLUDING THE RISK OF SERIOUS ILLNESS OR DEATH ARISING FROM SUCH EXPOSURE, AND/OR ALL RELATED DAMAGES, LOSS, COSTS AND EXPENSES OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER. GUEST UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES THAT IT SHALL BE HIS/HER RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION ABOUT CRUISING BASED ON HIS/HER INDIVIDUAL RISK ASSOCIATED WITH COVID-19.
The Carnival Carnival COVID-19 Policies and Procedures require all guests to undergo screening and provide specific health information relating to guest’s possible exposure to or infection with COVID-19 to determine guest’s eligibility to sail aboard the vessel. Guest hereby authorizes the release of the health information to Carnival, it’s medical staff or consultants, contractually engaged third parties, and any required governmental or health authorities to use for COVID-19 screening and/or mitigation. Guest agrees that if at any time within 14 days prior to embarkation or at any time during the cruise Guest tests positive for COVID-19, exhibits signs or symptoms of COVID-19, has had close contact with a person confirmed or suspected as having COVID-19, or Carnival otherwise determines in its sole discretion that Guest is unfit to board because of any communicable illness, Guest shall be subject to denial of boarding the Vessel, denial of re-boarding, quarantine, isolation and/or disembarkation.
Notice to Guests Regarding Advice from US CDC
The CDC cautions that any travel poses a higher risk of contracting COVID-19 and advises that travel to more than 150 countries presents a very high risk in addition to cruises. This is especially important for people with an increased risk of severe illness, such as older adults and those with certain underlying medical conditions. The CDC’s travel advisories, warnings and recommendations should be reviewed by guests at the CDC's website. If a threshold of COVID-19 is detected on board the ship, the voyage will be ended, the ship will return to the port of embarkation, and your subsequent travel home may be restricted or delayed. Health and safety protocols, guest conduct rules, and regional travel restrictions vary by ship and destination and are subject to change without notice.
The following information applies to all sailings scheduled during the declared Public Health Emergency involving COVID-19. Except as specifically stated below, or as otherwise provided in the Ticket Contract for your cruise, the standard cancellation policies and penalties described in the Ticket Contract apply.
*All refund requests must be made within 90 days of the scheduled embarkation date or you will only be entitled to a Future Cruise Credit for the amount specified. Please call 1-800-CARNIVAL to request your refund.
Vaccinated cruises are available for guests who have received their final dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the sailing day (not counting embarkation day) and have proof of vaccination.
Additionally, the CDC has strongly recommended that individuals obtain a COVID-19 booster vaccination, when eligible. Should the CDC definition of fully vaccinated evolve to require the booster shot, our policy will adapt accordingly. Consequently, we also strongly encourage all guests who are eligible to get their booster vaccine. It is also always possible that certain destinations could define a fully vaccinated guest as one who is current with a booster shot, and boosters may be required for specific voyages based on duration.
Guests who are up to date with their vaccines may take their test within three days prior to sailing. Up to date means a person has received all recommended COVID-19 vaccinations, including any booster dose, when eligible. Example: If the sailing is on Saturday, guests who are up to date with their vaccines may take their test as early as Wednesday and as late as Saturday, if guaranteed to receive results in time for check-in.
If a guest is fully vaccinated but not up to date with their vaccines (i.e., is eligible for a booster but has not received one), they must take their pre-cruise COVID-19 test within two days prior to sailing. A fully vaccinated guest who is not up to date with their vaccines may take their test no earlier than Thursday and as late as Saturday.
