Itinerary:

Day 1: Saturday, Sept 16: Depart San Francisco for Tel Aviv

Day 2: Sunday, Sept 17: Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport. greeted by your Sar-El tour guide and taken to the Leonardo Plaza Haifa.  Meeting room after dinner.

Day 3: Monday, Sept 18: Begin your day at Mt Carmel, where Elijah challenged the 400 prophets of Baal.  You will then visit Caesarea, with a deep-sea harbor, an aqueduct, a hippodrome, and an amphitheater, built by Herod the Great and dedicated to Caesar Augustus. In the Jezreel Valley, experience the vast overlook of Megiddo, the foretold site of Armageddon.  You will visit Haifa, Israel’s third largest city situated on a bay between the Mediterranean and Mount Carmel.  Overnight in Haifa.  Meeting room after dinner.

Day 4: Tuesday, Sept 19: You will travel to the Sea of Galilee by way of Nazareth and Cana. Then travel to the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea of Galilee.  You will visit Capernaum a city visited by Jesus and where He performed miracles. End the day with a trip to Yardenit, the Jordan River baptismal site. Overnight at the Rimomim Galei. Meeting room after dinner.

Day 5: Wednesday, Sept 20: Start your day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus walked to the disciples and calmed a storm. Visit Malkia Kibbutz & see nearby IDF Base.  Travel to Tel Dan, one of the most important sites for the archaeological and historical understanding of ancient Israel.  See Banias, the site of ancient Caesarea Philippi, near the mouth of the Jordan, where Jesus asked His disciples who people said He was. Travel through the Golan Heights. Overnight at the Rimomim Galei. Meeting room after dinner.

Day 6: Thursday, Sept 21: Travel the Jordan River Valley as you ascend to Jerusalem.  Experience the breathtaking view from the Mount of Olives, followed by a walk along the Palm Sunday Path to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed prior to His capture and trial. Retire to your room at the David Citadel in Jerusalem where you will be staying over the next five nights. Meeting room after dinner.

Day 7: Friday, Sept 22: You will tour Yad Vashem, Israel’s memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Meeting room after dinner. Then move on to the Israel Museum, which includes the Shrine of the Book and the Second Temple Model.  Stop the bus for a view of the Knesset, the seat of Israel’s government. Have dinner and spend Shabbat with a local Jewish family. Overnight David Citadel in Jerusalem

Day 8: Saturday, Sept 23:  Begin the day with a visit to Qumran, the area where the dead sea scrolls were found.  From Qumran journey to Masada, a desert fortress overlooking the dead sea the setting of a Roman siege of the Sicarii rebels during the first Jewish-Roman war.  See Ein Gedi where David composed many Psalms.  End the day with a “float” in the Dead Sea In the evening you will attend the Sound and Light Show at David’s Tower. Overnight David Citadel in Jerusalem

 Day 9: Sunday, Sept 24:  Start your day at the City of David and the 3D presentation, Hezekiah’s Tunnel, Friends of Zion Museum, free time for shopping. Early Finish, evening Yom Kippur.  Overnight David Citadel in Jerusalem

Day 10: Monday, Sept 25: Yom Kippur Day. Visit St. Anne’s Church and the Pools of Bethesda where Jesus healed a lame man who had waited 38 years beside the pool in John 5Travel through the Old City of Jerusalem along the Way of the Cross and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Overnight David Citadel in Jerusalem.

Day 11: Tuesday, Sept 26: Sift through the City of David Archaeological Dig at Emek Tzurim, followed by tour of the Jewish Quarter of the Old City, including the Cardo and the Herodian Mansion Ruins.  End the day on the Southern Steps of the Temple. Garden Tomb for communion.  Farewell dinner and flight home.

Day 12: Wednesday, Sept 27: Arrive back home.

Basic Airport / Flight Information

  • Your airline ticket will be issued electronically.  When you arrive to the airport, please be prepared to present a passport to an airline representative in order to receive your boarding pass.
  • All group seat assignments are under airport control.  Seat assignments online are not available for groups.  Pre-check in is not available to groups.
  • You should arrive at the airport two hours before your flight departs.
  • You are allowed one free checked bag and one free carry on.

Luggage (per person) limitations:

  • Checked:  weight = 50 pounds max
    Maximum Size:  total of length + width + depth = 62”
  • Carry-ons:  you are allowed to bring one piece that will fit in an overhead compartment (up to 14”w x 22”h x 9” deep) plus a smaller piece that will fit under your seat (up to 10”w x 17”h x 9” deep).
  • All carry-on luggage items such as liquids, gels and aerosols must be in 3.4 ounce (100ml) or smaller containers.  Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed.  There is not a limit on the types of liquids, gels and aerosols in your checked baggage.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due on registration. The rest of the payments can be paid online (with a 4% convenience fee) or by check, according to our payment schedule. 
  • Single supplement price:  $2,060.
  • Price of tour could increase if you register after June 16, 2023.
