• Board the ferry to  visit Goree Island, The House of Slaves, the Liberation Monument and Historic Church of Saint Charles Borromee. While there, see the cannons and have lunch on the island. Upon returning to the mainland, visit the Black Civilization Museum. En route to the hotel, stop at the presidential palace. In the late evening, take in live African entertainment. 

 

Day 3: March 16, 2025

• After breakfast, travel to Lac Retba. The pink lake of Senegal and observe the Fulani woman harvest salt from the lake. Continue to a visit with Des  Arts followed by lunch at an authentic African restaurant. The day ends with a visit to African Renaissance monument where you can choose pictures from the bottom or climb the stairs . From there, you will see an amazing view of Senegal from the top

Day 4: March 17, 2025

• Today, we will depart for The Gambia. On the way, we will visit Fathala Wildlife Reserve to enjoy an authentic African bush experience with a guided Safari tour in an open gaming vehicle. While there, you may choose to enjoy a lion encounter-a once in a life time experience where you take the opportunity to interact with the lions and accompany them on foot. After crossing into The Gambia, we will have an opportunity to meet with a tailor who will design and sew customized African outfits .

Day 5: March 18, 2025

• Stop at a village and visit a school. The children at the school may sing some traditional songs or there may be a small  musical performance in honor of the group. If you would like, you can donate basic school supplies, medical supplies or electronics. Next stop is Tanji, where you will have an opportunity to have a delicious Gambian lunch and African naming ceremony with entertainment. Later in the afternoon, return to the hotel where you can choose to go right outside to enjoy the beach.
