Destination Wedding Disclosure:
A destination wedding involves unique considerations and requirements beyond those of a traditional wedding. When booking a destination wedding package with Lovie Jay Travel (hereinafter referred to as “LJT” “our” “us”), please be aware of the following:
-
Local Legal Requirements: Destination weddings may require adherence to local legal requirements, including but not limited to residency, documentation, permits, and licensing. It is the responsibility of the wedding couple to research and fulfill these legal obligations in the chosen wedding destination. LJT strongly recommends consulting with legal authorities or wedding planners in the destination country for accurate and up-to-date information on marriage laws and procedures.
-
Vendor Coordination: LJT may assist in arranging wedding services, such as venue bookings, officiants, photographers, florists, caterers, and transportation. While every effort will be made to secure these services, availability and quality may vary in different locations. LJT does not directly control the services provided by third-party vendors, and their terms, conditions, and standards may differ. The wedding couple acknowledges that any agreements or contracts entered into with third-party vendors are separate from LJT’s services.
-
Travel Arrangements for Guests: Wedding couples should communicate relevant travel information and itineraries to their guests. LJT can assist in coordinating travel arrangements for wedding guests; however, guests are responsible for booking their accommodations, transportation, and other travel-related services directly through LJT or as advised by the wedding couple. Any changes or cancellations to guest travel arrangements are subject to the terms and conditions outlined by LJT.
-
Wedding Package Inclusions: Specific wedding packages offered by LJT will outline inclusions such as ceremony arrangements, decorations, photography, and additional services. The wedding couple should carefully review these inclusions to understand what services are covered and any limitations or additional costs that may apply for customization or extra services.
-
Cancellation and Changes: Once a destination wedding package is confirmed and booked, any changes or cancellations may be subject to penalties or fees as per LJT’s cancellation policy and the policies of individual vendors involved in the wedding arrangements. Wedding couples should review and understand the cancellation terms for both LJT’s services and any contracted vendors.
-
Insurance: LJT strongly advises wedding couples to consider purchasing wedding insurance that covers unforeseen circumstances, cancellations, or disruptions that could affect the wedding plans. Additionally, travel insurance for the wedding couple and guests is recommended to cover potential travel-related issues.
-
Communication and Planning: Effective communication between the wedding couple and LJT is crucial for successful planning and execution of the destination wedding. Timely sharing of preferences, requirements, and changes is essential to ensure a smooth and enjoyable wedding experience.
By booking a destination wedding package with Lovie Jay Travel, the wedding couple acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and considerations outlined in this Destination Wedding Disclosure. LJT will make every reasonable effort to facilitate a memorable wedding experience, but the wedding couple accepts responsibility for decisions, arrangements, and compliance with local laws related to their destination wedding.
