SPECIALTY DINING VENUES

It is highly recommended that all travelers have a valid passport however, for a closed-loop cruise that starts and ends at the same U.S. port U.S. citizens do not need a passport. Instead, you can use a government-issued photo ID (driver's license OR state ID) and proof of citizenship, such as an original or certified copy of a birth certificate with a raised seal.

For Passports:  A VALID U.S. PASSPORT, WITH AT LEAST 2 BLANK PAGES, WILL BE NEEDED FOR TRAVEL. PASSPORTS WILL NEED TO BE VALID FOR A MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS BEYOND THE DATES OF TRAVEL AFTER RETURNING HOME (your passport will need to be valid at least until  December 16, 2026).

•    IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH PERSON/TRAVELER TO ENSURE THAT THEIR PASSPORT IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE PLANNED TRIP/DESTINATION.  GET AWAY WITH VALERIE! WILL NOT BE HELD LIABLE IN THE EVENT THAT THE TRAVELER FAILS TO ENSURE THAT TRAVELER'S PASSPORT/DOCUMENTS ARE IN ORDER.

For green card holders:  

You can take a cruise with a green card (Permanent Resident Card). However, there are specific requirements depending on the type of cruise and the destination. Generally, you'll need your green card and a valid passport from your country of citizenship. 

Here's a more detailed breakdown: 

Requirements for Cruises: 

• Green Card: You'll need your valid green card 

• Passport: A valid passport from your country of citizenship is required, especially if you're visiting countries outside the US. 

• Photo ID: If your green card doesn't have a photo, you may also need a valid government-issued photo ID. 

IMPORTANT NOTE:  As of May 7, 2025, U.S. travelers must be REAL ID compliant to board domestic flights and access certain federal facilities. This applies only if you do not have a valid passport and are using a birth certificate to cruise.

Royal Caribbean offers an optional Travel Protection Program that provides various coverages to help protect your trip. Here are some key features:

• Medical Coverage: Covers medical expenses incurred during your trip.
• Baggage Coverage: Provides reimbursement for lost, stolen, or damaged baggage.
• Evacuation Coverage: Covers the cost of emergency evacuation and repatriation.
• Cancellation Penalty Waiver: If you need to cancel your cruise for specified reasons, Royal Caribbean will waive the non-refundable cancellation provision and refund the unused portion of your prepaid vacation.
• Cancel for Any Reason*: You can purchase additional coverage to cancel your trip for any reason, with up to 90% of the non-refundable, prepaid cruise vacation cost being credited towards a future cruise.

The Travel Protection Program is administered by Aon Affinity and underwritten by Arch Insurance Company. It's available for residents in most states, with some exceptions.

* Cancel for any reason coverage must be added with or within 7 days of initial deposit.

Guests who choose not to prepay gratuities at the time of booking will have a service gratuity automatically applied to their respective SeaPass® account on a daily basis, in the amounts shown below:*

• $21.00 per guest, per day will be applied to guests sailing on any suite; and

• $18.50 per guest, per day will be applied to guests sailing on all other stateroom categories.

Gratuities collected are distributed to crew members, including dining, bar and culinary services staff, stateroom attendants, hotel services teams as well as others onboard who work to enhance the overall cruise experience.

Additionally, an 18% gratuity will be automatically added to all pre-cruise and onboard purchases of beverages and beverage packages, specialty dining and specialty dining packages, room service and mini bar purchases. A 20% gratuity will be automatically added to all pre-cruise and onboard spa and salon purchases.
