Itinerary Highlights

 

Day 1: Depart the USA

 

Day 2:  Welcome to Singapore

This afternoon we will explore the city by driving round the Civic District, passing by the Padang, Cricket Club, old Parliament House, Supreme Court and City Hall while learning about its history. Stop at the Merlion Park and enjoy the impressive views of Marina Bay. Do not miss this picture-taking opportunity with The Merlion, a mythological creature that is part lion and part fish. Visit the National Orchid Garden located within Singapore Botanic Gardens. Recently named one of the world's heritage sites by UNESCO, the National Orchid Garden boasts a sprawling display of 60,000 orchid plants. It is also home to Singapore's National Flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim. 
 
Our next stop is Kampong Glam. The traditional Malay enclave of Singapore, Kam pong Glam is home to the iconic Sultan Mosque, famed Arab Street and traditional eateries. In recent years, cafes, homegrown retail shops and speakeasy cocktail bars have popped up in the area making it a trendy hang out for young Singaporeans. Stroll along the area and visit the different shops while learning about the Malay culture in Singapore. We will end the tour with dinner at Permata Restaurant - located at the Gedung Kuning Sultan Gate. Savor the royal culinary journey featuring exquisite dishes from the region.

Day 3:  Cultural Corners of Singapore

Morning Half Day Ethnic Corners of Singapore Explore Joo Chiat and Katong, Singapore's largest architecture conservation district. Nonyas, Babas, and Peranakans are an integral part of Singapore's diverse cultural heritage. This neighborhood is celebrated not only for its scrumptious local cuisine but also for its charmingly embellished shophouses and residential terraces, which lend it a distinct and exceptional allure. Next, we move on to Little India. Take in the many colors and exotic scents of spices while walking past the streets. Stop by any shop of interest while learning about the history of the Indian community in Singapore. Our final stop is Singapore's historical Chinatown - a bustling mix of old and new, filled with traditional shops and local markets as well as new artisanal stores and cafes. Visit the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum and see the rich interior design and comprehensive exhibit on Buddhist art and history with stories of the religion spanning over hundreds of years.
 
Have lunch on your own at one of the local Chinese Restaurants. Savor the authentic Dim Sum lunch served in small baskets/plates alongside some main dishes.

Day 4: Sentosa Adventure

Full Day Sentosa Tour with Lunch - Get away from the hustle bustle of the city to Sentosa - the resort island of peace, tranquility and amazing attractions. First, enjoy a scenic cable car ride and catch a bird's eye view of Singapore's skyline and its busy port. Visit the S.E.A Aquarium, the world's largest aquarium. Immerse yourself in a magical marine world seen through our planet's largest window to the ocean. With more than 800 species of marine animals, the aquarium is home to majestic manta rays, enormous goliath grouper Napoleon wrasse, and other gentle giants of the sea. Come face to face with over 200 sharks and uncover the centuries of myths about the sea predators. Explore the Fort Siloso Skywalk, a treetop trail 11-storey high. The Skywalk trail provides you with a scenic treetop trek on the way to Fort Siloso. End the tour with lunch at the Silver Shell Cafe at The Shangri-La Sentosa.

Day 5: Gardens by the Bay

Afternoon @ Gardens by the Bay with Rhapsody Show Visit to the National Garden - Gardens by the Bay, featuring the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest cooled conservatories. The Flower Dome replicates the cool-dry climate of Mediterranean regions in South Africa, California, Spain and Italy with unique plants like the Baobab trees, the Madagascar Ghost Tree, and the 1000-year-old Olive tree. Enjoy a changing display of vibrant plants and blooms. Then, continue to the Cloud Forest and be awed by an impressive 35-metre-tall indoor waterfall amidst the lush vegetation and tropical epiphytes. After the sun sets, this evening Gardens by Display experience wraps up with a memorable treat. Witness the magical 'Garden Rhapsody' show where the lights of the Supertrees pulse in time with a curated playlist of tunes.

Day 6:  Day at Leisure & Singapore by Night

Cruise down the Singapore River in a traditional bumboat to see the legacy of Singapore's history. This is the best way to see the pivotal role the river played in Singapore's history as a port town. The cruise passes godowns and old shophouses, that now stands as a silent reminder of its humble past. You'll also see a mix of historic buildings contrasted with imposing modern skyscrapers. Guarding the river mouth see the majestic water-spouting Merl ion - a mythological half-lion, half-fish creature a successful symbol of Singapore's tourism industry.  End the tour with a seafood dinner along the riverside. Savor an authentic dish of chili crab served with mantou (fried Chinese buns), a local favorite and a must-have in Singapore!


Day 7: Departure

On this four hour guided tour, we will learn about the journey of Singapore's transformation from a humble trading port to a first-world country as we explore the film’s famous filming locations, including Chjimes, Raffles Hotel, Marina Bay Sands and the Supertree Grove at award-winning Gardens by the Bay. Our 4 km adventure will also take us to a range of iconic landmarks, such as Fullerton Hotel and the National Gallery. Along the way, we can relive our favourite moments from the movie, stop to snap selfies at iconic spots, taste must-try Singaporean street delicacies and learn about the secrets of the city.
