In the Virgin Islands, Carnival is a big deal! It is the biggest and most anticipated annual event in St. Thomas and is known for its sensory explosion of colorful costumes, masquerade parades, Caribbean music and revelry.
St. Thomas Carnival is about celebrating life and freedom which is done through costumes, dancing, parades, parties, pageantry, music, food, drinks, singing, family, friends and lots of fun. Loads of live music shows, pageants, fairs and mouth-watering local food and drinks are available for your delight.
During this celebratory event, you can also enjoy the richness of the local culture, unique traditions and heritage.
African, European, Danish, Caribbean and American costumes will leave you speechless, not forgetting the breathtaking scenery and beaches.

Wednesday, April 29, 2026-Day 1 (Arrival):
Today you will arrive at Cyril King Airport where you will meet your driver to be transferred to Margaritaville St. Thomas, your home for the next 6 nights. Take this time to settle in, explore the property, walk on the beach or relax at the pool. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Don't get too active, you will need your energy for our optional evening activity.

Thursday, April 30, 2026-Day 2: Full Jouvert Experience (1am until)
Those who tell the story of Carnival traditions say when J’ouvert Morning began, people would come from their homes in the pre-dawn hours dressed in their nightclothes to dance to the music of roving bands. Over the years, J’ouvert couture has evolved from the days of pajama pants and nightshirts to the comical, the whimsical, and the outrageous. Whether they are young, slim, plus-sized, or mature, J’ouvert morning street fashionistas turn out on Veteran’s Drive with some show-stopping looks. We will be a part of a J'ouvert troupe where dance attire, party gifts, breakfast and a steady flow of alcohol will be provided. We will follow it by taking a dip at Magen's Bay Beach, one of the top 10 beaches in the world.

Beautiful costumes, great music and the wonderful energy and spirit of Virgin Island’s people make the adults parade a success every year. Thousands of Virgin Islanders and visitors turn out for the adult’s parade. The adult’s parade on St. Thomas is often an all-day affair that last into the early evening. Get ready to have the experience of a lifetime. You will be given multiple options to choose from to ensure that the costume you choose allows you maximum comfort and confidence. Please note, the activity level on this is high so it is not recommended for those who are pregnant, have heart complications or back/knee issues of any kind. And YES! Men can participate too.
