Merida and the Yucatan Peninsula
FLORECER Travel creates bucket list, once-in-a-lifetime trips, which open you up to the authentic side of every destination.  FLORECER hosted trips combine this philosophy with the comfort of having everything pre-planned for you, where nothing has been left to chance.  You'll also enjoy traveling with a small group of like-minded travelers, and a travel advisor host.

This hosted experience takes us to the Yucatan Peninsula, and the stunning cities of Merida and Campeche.  Merida was just recently awarded the #4 best city in the world by Conde Nast Traveler, for its culture, food and natural beauty.  While it's not a location that many people have visited, it's absolutely a hidden gem.  Many people have visited the crowded eastern half of the Yucatan (Cancun and the Riviera Maya), but far fewer have explored the lesser known ruins, towns and cenotes on the western half.

Why join me on this hosted experience?

This will be my fourth trip.  My experience in the region means that this trip has been crafted to maximize our ability to explore all of the best areas in a short amount of time.  For most people, traveling off the beaten track requires a lot of pre-planning and research, and I've done all of that for you.  No need to speak Spanish, or have completed any research on your own.  I'll send you a packing list before we depart, and all you need is to bring yourself and your sense of adventure!

Although I call this an adventure (and it is!) you don't need any high level of athleticism to join in.  We'll swim in cenotes (with life jackets), walk around two different pyramid sites, have a short bike ride in town, and there is a beach day where you can participate in paddle boarding or just lounge on your chair with a cocktail.  Most of the days have 1 or 2 activities, and then our afternoons and evenings will be free.

I've carefully chosen the hotels to bring a sense of place into our trip.  Two boutique hotels in Merida are VERY well known for their culinary offerings.  The other two are haciendas from the 17th century that have been lovingly restored to luxury hotels which are currently owned by Marriott.  You'll be amazed by the architecture and style of all 4 hotels, and the level of service and food provided.

The pricing for this trip includes all airport transfers, hotels, transportation, breakfasts and lunches, guides, and all mentioned activities.  Dinner and drinks are not included.
