Have you ever wondered about extra-terrestrial life? You’re not on your own if you have, the SETI Institute is a space and earth science research organisation, and part of their work is looking for forms of life within and beyond our solar system! SETI (which stands for 'search for extra-terrestrial intelligence') also supports other organizations, including NASA and the National Science Foundation, in answering some of humanity’s most profound scientific questions. In our partnership with the SETI Institute, we aim to provide expert insights into the fascinating world of astronomy, astrophysics, astrobiology, and planetary science – and the ongoing quest to find other forms of life within and beyond our solar system.

The vast Scoresbysund fjord network is framed by imposing basalt mountains. Serving as a barrier against Arctic winds, the mountains create a haven for Greenland's wildlife, including muskoxen, Arctic foxes and mountain hares. The area teems with birdlife like little auks, Atlantic puffins, fulmars, snowy owls, Greenlandic gyrfalcons and great black-backed gulls. Seals and whales are common sightings in the fjord's waters.
Surrounded by fjords in the Westfjords region, Ísafjörður is a bustling fishing town in northwest Iceland. The charming old town of Neskaupstadur features colorful 18th and 19th-century wooden houses. The Heritage Museum, also known as the Maritime Museum, houses some of the country's oldest buildings and explores the region's fishing heritage through compelling exhibits. Nearby, Osvor is a replica of a 19th-century Icelandic fishing station.
Considered one of Iceland’s most impressive falls, the thunderous Dynjandi waterfall in the Westfjords region resembles a bridal veil as it spreads down ever-growing cascades. The walk takes 15 minutes and passes five smaller waterfalls.
