Selah Travel invites you on a journey to experience the history and culture of Ghana. The tentative travel dates are September 17-28, 2027. Temperatures in September average 75-80 degrees. And it is five hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time.
Ghana is located in west Africa and was known as the Gold Coast due to its gold supply. Cocoa and oil are also commodities that are produced. The slave trade occurred for four centuries and Ghana was the first sub-saharan African country to gain independence in 1957. "Come Home to Ghana" is an invitation for African descendants to return to a land that endured the transatlantic slave trade and colonization by various countries. Individuals were transported to South America, North America and Caribbean islands.
Itinerary
This is the tentative itinerary. Some hotel reservations and tours can be booked approximately one year in advance and others accept reservations closer to the travel dates. Adjustments to the itinerary will be made according to availability. The meals and activities that are included in the package are noted. Breakfast will be included each day at the hotels.
Special aspects of the trip will be a celebration of Tiffany's mother's 80th birthday on September 21st and an on-site seamstress who will take custom orders for apparel.

Lodging
The hotels we select will be 4- or 5-star properties with breakfast and WiFi included. The rooms will have a king bed or twin beds. Amenities will include on-site eateries, fitness centers and pools.
Costs and Payments
The travel package includes round trip flights to Accra, lodging, ground transportation, and the included meals and activities. The estimated trip costs are based on 2026 pricing with Main Cabin seats. The quote for double occupancy is $6,100/person and for single occupancy it is $8,000/person. When the flights are published in November 2026 we will determine the actual travel dates and book the reservations with the tour company. Quotes for Comfort, Premium and First Class seating can be requested on the Registration Form.
All payments will be refundable until the reservations are made in November 2026. At that time all payments will become non-refundable unless travel insurance is purchased. Quotes for travel insurance will be provided with the travel quote. The premium cost is based on the trip cost, traveler's age and state of residence.
Selah Travel strongly suggests that you purchase travel insurance, which may reimburse a portion or all of your funds if you have to cancel the trip. Also, insurance provides coverage for trip delays and medical expenses during travel. Many healthcare plans do not offer coverage outside of the U.S. (NOTE: The cost of the insurance policy is non-refundable.)

Immunizations & Visa
Consult with your physician or local health department to discuss recommendations for vaccinations that you need before departing.
A Visa is required for U.S. citizens to enter Ghana and we will provide information for the application closer to the trip.
Passports
All travelers must have a passport book with at least two blank pages. It must be valid for at least 6 months after the trip (March 31, 2028).
It is critical that your name is listed on the Registration Form EXACTLY as it appears on the passport or passport application, with or without middle names and initials. Airlines may charge fees to make name changes. Please email or text a copy of your main passport page to Selah Travel.
Registration
Select a travel package below. On the next screen select the number of travelers for whom you are submitting the deposit. If you and your roommate are paying separately, select one traveler for just yourself. On the Registration Form you will list the name of your roommate.
If you are paying the deposit for both of you, after you complete and electronically sign your form click the blue "Registration Form" button in the upper right hand corner to submit it. Once it is submitted you can select "Add Additional Traveler" at the bottom of the next page to complete the information for your roommate. After registering you will enter the debit/credit card information to pay the deposit(s).
